Middle school students are in the critical period o f learning and growth,personality building,and also an important stage of strengthening emotional education.Emotional education and cognitive education constitute a complete education,which is an indispensable part of Ideological and political educatio n in middle school.With the rapid development of new media,the emotional education of middle school students is facing both important opportunities and major challenges: on the one hand,under the impact of new media,the selectivity of educational objec ts is further enhanced,the field of activity is further extended to virtual space,and the real emotional communication space is constantly squeezed,and the phenomenon that emotional education is ignored and neglected is increasingly prominent;on the ot her hand,new media Technology has brought infinite possibilities to the emotional education of middle school students,including the innovation of education means carrier,the broadening of education channel platform,and the diversity of education forms.The research on the emotional education of middle school students from the perspective of new media will help to better summarize the experience,grasp the law,and improve the pertinence and effectiveness of Ideological and political education in middle school.Based on the analysis of relevant research at home and abroad,this paper comprehensively explains the meaning,types,functions of new media and the connotation,characteristics and functions of emotional education,summarizes the relevant theories of emotional education of middle school students in the new media environment,and analyzes the challenges and opportunities brought to emotional education of middle school students under the rapid development of new media.According to the middle school students,this paper finds that there is not only a close correlation between new media and middle school students' emotional education,but also a certain stratification.On this basis,it further puts forward the "three main contents" of middle school students' emotional education,namely "long-term content,phased content and difference content".In addition,this paper proposes that the emotional education of middle school students in the new media environment should adhere to the "three basic principl es",namely,"the unity of adapting to the opening and correct guidance,the unity of general education and individual education,and the unity of content quality and form diversity".It explores how to realize the innovation of methods of emotional educat ion of middle school students with the new media technology as the carrier,and how to realize the emotional education and students' life and learning the organic combination of subject teaching and family education.Finally,this paper initially construct s the operation mechanism of middle school students' emotional education in the new media environment from three aspects: improving the quality of new media emotional education,establishing the evaluation system and implementing the safeguard measures.
