Orienteering,as a sport that combines physical strength with intelligence,can not only cultivate and improve students’ ability to survive in the field,independent thinking and teamwork,but also have the ability to exercise and improve students’ physical quality in traditional track and field events.The development of orienteering courses in colleges and universities can maximize the use of the spatial resources of the campus,and make the physical education class extend from the traditional and old-fashioned fixed teaching places,and make the physical education class become rich and interesting.On the basis of related scientific research,several universities in Sichuan Province are taken as the objects of investigation.By using the methods of literature,questionnaire,expert interview,field investigation and mathematical statistics,this paper analyzes the situation of orienteering courses offered in colleges and universities in Sichuan Province.The aim is to promote the development of orienteering in colleges and universities in Sichuan Province,which is particularly important for the better development and promotion of this sport in the future.In colleges and universities that have offered orienteering courses,the survey found that the results are uneven,but there is still a large space for development.At the same time,there are the following problems: first,the course of orienteering does not give full play to students’ subjective initiative,and students can not reach the appropriate amount of exercise in the process of participation.Second,teachers lack teaching experience in orienteering class,so in some classes,teachers only distribute maps and assign tasks,while students complete the rest freely.Third,the teaching site is single,and in the process of repeated use,students will feel tired and have less enthusiasm to participate in orienteering.Fourth,the lack of corresponding competitions and activities can not meet the needs of students to learn and communicate with each other,and the popularity rate can not be improved.In view of the above problems,the following conclusions are drawn: the first certain movement in colleges and universities is not part of the standard situation,resulting in poor learning effect of students,the expected results of teaching is not ideal.Second,orienteering training organized for teachers is less,and teachers lack ways and methods to improve professional skills.Moreover,some teachers have poor control effect on the classroom,and it is difficult to improve the teaching quality.Third,the field of orienteering is relatively simple and lacks the making of orienteering map.Students are more concentrated on campus or in the nearby city park,which limits students’ exploration of unfamiliar places and fails to show the positive effect of orienteering on students.Fourth,the overall ecological environment of orienteering is not enough,and there is a lack of competitions and related lectures and activities.As a result,the promotion of orienteering is blocked and the popularity rate cannot be improved better.Through exploring the experience of some schools with good results in the province,learning their advanced teaching organization measures,and combining with the results of the investigation and analysis,the following suggestions are put forward: First,improve the classroom teaching methods,perfect the course evaluation structure,enhance the enthusiasm of students to participate,and give full play to the subjective initiative of students.Second,to improve the professional knowledge and skills of teachers,teachers should strengthen the control of the classroom,increase the teaching organization and teaching means,in order to achieve the expected teaching objectives.Thirdly,increase the investment of funds and venues,and supplement the equipment regularly to meet the needs of teachers and students in the implementation and participation of orienteering.Fourth,organize related activities of orienteering,standardize the construction of orienteering associations and clubs,realize the sharing of orienteering resources among colleges and universities,increase the holding of orienteering related events among colleges and universities,promote face-to-face communication among colleges and universities,and form a good and open orienteering ecological environment. |
