Since 1994,the state has been stepping up efforts to promote "quality-oriented education",so as to promote the all-round development of young people in the stage of compulsory education,and to cultivate reserve talents with excellent moral and academic performance for the CCP and the country.However,while "quality education" is developing well,the problem of lack of setback education is also becoming more and more prominent.In particular,teenagers in junior high school are at a critical stage of great changes in physical and psychological development,great emotional fluctuations and strong plasticity,and their rates of mental illness and suicide are at a high level,which need most careful guidance and cultivation.Ethics and the rule of law in junior middle school,as the core course of cultivating the physical and mental quality of junior middle school students,should undoubtedly shoulder the important mission of carrying out frustration education.Therefore,strengthening the research on frustration education in the course of ethics and rule of law in junior middle school,constantly improving the level of frustration education,to make up for the shortage of "quality education",is not only the intrinsic requirement to temper students’ will,cultivate students’ healthy mentality,improve students’ ability to resist setbacks and enhance students’ comprehensive competitiveness,but also the inevitable requirement for the development of education with Chinese characteristics.This research is guided by Marx’s theory on the all-round development of human,learns from ABC theory of frustration and discontinuity education thought in western developed countries.Through the sample survey and analysis of teachers and students in three grades in junior middleschool,this study found that there are still some prominent problems in the development of frustration education in ethics and rule of law classes in junior middle school,such as monotonous teaching methods of teachers,formalized content of textbooks,and insufficient attention paid by families,schools and society to frustration education.The reasons for these problems are: under the social atmosphere of intellectual education priority,teachers lack the professional quality to carry out frustration education,and the content of frustration education is not fully developed.In view of these problems,the solutions are as follows: to improve the professional quality of junior middle school ethics and the rule of law teachers in frustration education;to develop frustration education resources by absorbing the wisdom and essence of traditional culture,drawing lessons from foreign excellent frustration education experience,and connecting with the actual life of students;to strengthen the cooperation among family,school and society to give full play to the advantages of carrying out frustration education,etc.
