In January 2018,the new curriculum standard for ideological and political education for high schools,namely ?Standard For General High Schools Ideological and Political Curriculum(2017 Edition)?,was officially promulgated by the Chinese Ministry of Education.In the fall of 2019,new ideological and political textbooks edited by the Chinese Ministry of Education for high schools began to be used in six provinces(municipalities)including Beijing and Shanghai.By the end of 2022,other provinces across the country will gradually achieve comprehensive usage of the new textbooks.Now it is going to be one year since the usage of new textbooks.Both teachers and students show high satisfaction with the new textbooks.Students are satisfied with the changes in the content,language organization,and other aspects of the new textbooks.Teachers also make positive comments for the cutting-edge and value-oriented contents.However,some teachers have failed to grasp the deep-seated reasons for the changes in the new textbooks,which make them blurring the points of the contents.The existence of this problem makes it difficult for teachers to complete the goals of new textbooks and also leads to disadvantages to the development of students.In addition,some teachers are still using traditional teaching method,duck-stuffing type of teaching for example,or they use new methods but fail to efficiently achieve the course goals.All these problems have led teachers having concerns about using the new textbooks,both worrying about getting into the traditional boring situation and losing principles and failing to achieve the courses goals as well.The thesis contains four parts,including analyzing and studying the changes of the new textbook and the necessities for these changes,principles and strategies of using new textbooks,hoping offer some help for teachers in using the new textbooks in the future work.The first part of the thesis is introduction part.Through researching literature,this part will provide theoretical basis for the thesis of otherparts.The second part of the thesis focuses on the changes of the textbook and the characteristics of the new textbook.In the third part,the problems that teachers should be noticed and the principles they should obeyed in the process of using the new textbooks are studied.The fourth part studies the strategies of using the textbooks effectively.
