With the further reform of education,cultivating students' core quality of geography has become the ultimate goal of geography teaching in high school.Geography homework is a significant part of geography course,a supplement to classroom teaching of geography,and a vital way for students to reinforce geographic knowledge points,develop skills and promote literacy.The formation of the core quality of geography needs to be carried out by establishing the correct concept of man and earth,enhancing the comprehensive thinking of geography,improving the cognition of regional space,and cultivating the practical ability,which can be completed through geography homework.But at present,the high school geography homework in China is to intensify students' mastery and understanding of geographic knowledge.Under this concept,students become the machine to receive knowledge,only responsible for receiving,They don't know how to absorb,transform and apply,which is seriously inconsistent with the concept of the new curriculum standard.In order to boost the students' sense of identity in geography,promote the students' geographical core literacy,make the design of high school geography homework is better,this paper will take some of the senior high school students as the study object and research how to design senior high school geography homework to promote the students' geographical core literacy.The article uses literature research to learn about the current research condition of geography core literacy,homework design and geography homework design at home and abroad.The author through questionnaire survey has analyzed the current situation of high school geography homework,combined with analytical results,the author comes up with the design principle and the design strategies.Based on the design principle and strategies,author designs the high school geography homework build on the core literacy of the subject.The homework content takes the “atmospheric heating process”and “water circulation”as examples.In Xi Ning city A Middle School,two parallel classes are selected as experimental class andcomparative class to implement practical teaching,in order to test the effect of the case of geography homework design,so as to determine the effectiveness of design principles and strategies,and improve the reference value of the case of geography homework design.By the practice teaching and the feedback results of the students in the two classes,the conclusions are as follows:(1)At present,the high school geography homework is less connection with life,the difficulty is polarized,the students are lack of cooperation,and the core quality of geography is less involved.(2)The design of the high school geography homework based on the core quality of the subject should follow the design principles of appropriate neutrality,diversity,life style,practicality and selectivity,and follow carry out landscape analysis,refine the problem design,implement hands-on practice and cooperate with students to design the geography homework.(3)The high school geography homework based on the subject core literacy make four ports of the students' geographical core quality have promoted,but the geographical practice fore has the largest space and the effect is relatively low.
