Appreciation education(AE)is one of the important contents of the quality education and the reform of the new high school curriculum.The ideological and political education at the high school stage influences the development of students throughout their lives.AE focuses on the future development of high school students,helps to change the traditional teacher-student relationship,and gives students a good emotional experience.Therefore,it is particularly important to use AE in high school ideological and political courses.Because its core idea coincides with the function of the ideological and political discipline and moral education of high school.The implementation of AE in the ideological and political classrooms in high schools is conducive to improving teaching quality as AE help teachers to understand and discover the highlights of students as well as stimulate students' interests.Gradually,students' self-efficacy and self-knowledge are improved,which ultimately promotes the all-round development of students' quality.In the first part,this paper introduces the research background and significance of AE,and summarizes the current status and research ideas of AE at home and abroad.In the second part,this paper elaborates the connotation and classification of AE,and deeply explores the concept of AE.By combining AE with high school ideological and political courses,this paper fully illustrates the necessity of apply appreciation education in high school ideological and political classes.In the third part,this paper analyzes the problems in implementing AE in ideological and political classes in high school.By scientifically and objectively analyzing the questionnaire data and the interview questions,we analyze the problems from three aspects: the recognition,the standards and the methods of AE.In particular,this paper focuses on improper implementation of AE in ideological and political education in high school from the perspective of teaching and evaluation system.In the fourth part,this paper propounds the strategies of optimizing the AE from the aspects of teaching view,teaching principles,evaluation system,and teacher quality.In short,in order to realize the maximum effectiveness of AE in the ideological and political classrooms of high schools,it is necessary to accurately grasp the reasons for the existing problems.Only by reasonable analysis and optimization from various aspects can AE truly bring positive effects on students' life-long development.
