With the advent of the era of artificial intelligence,computational thinking is clearly regarded as an essential skill in the twenty-first century,and it has been praised as a primary skill as important as mathematics,reading and writing ability,which should be the basic literacy of digital citizens in the information society.Computational thinking is considered as the key idea and concept in the field of informatics and computer science,which is a thinking process,uses the methods of analysis and algorithm to formulate,analyze and solve problems,in addition,it aims to cultivate students' logical thinking and problem-solving ability.Computational thinking education is the trend of global education development in the 21 st century,therefore,China is also actively carrying out computational thinking education,however,the development of this education is facing lots of difficulties,such as the lack of effective teaching mode and poor teaching effect.While the construction of robot teaching mode for the cultivation of computational thinking is to improve the current difficulties.Based on the analysis of relevant literature,such as the theory of discovery learning,cooperative learning and creative thinking,furthermore,built on the core skills of computational thinking,the basic principles of integrating computational thinking in the curriculum,the position in the curriculum,teaching methods and other related theories,a robot teaching mode is constructed which takes the advantages of robot education and combines the creative problem solving(CPS)model.Moreover,this mode regards training students' computational thinking as the goal,student-subject and teacher-oriented as the idea,and practical learning as the method.According to the constructed teaching mode,the corresponding teaching cases are designed to verify the teaching effect of robot teaching mode oriented to the cultivation of computational thinking,and the teaching experiments are carried out in class 5 and class 6 of Grade 7 of H Middle School in Xinxiang,Henan Province.The results of this research mainly include two parts:(1)Integrating computational thinking into robot education,and constructing a robotic teaching mode oriented to the cultivation of computational thinking,which consists of five stages: understanding problems,finding methods,solutions,solving problems,and displaying achievements.(2)The findings of teaching experiments show that the level of computational thinking of the experimental class students is higher than that of the control class after the teaching practice,moreover,the level of computational thinking of the experimental class students is significantly improved.It is thus indicated that the teaching experiment has basically achieved the expected teaching goal,that is,the teaching mode constructed can effectively cultivate students' computational thinking.
