The Pythagorean Theorem is called the "Eternal First Theorem" and is a precious asset of humankind.The human ancestors of the four ancient civilizations discovered the Pythagorean Theorem at different times and places,so that many scholars continue to explore the Pythagorean Theorem.In the mathematics textbook of Beijing Normal University,the eighth graders are exposed to the Pythagorean Theorem for the first time,so the front-line teachers need to carefully design the teaching of the initial class.The integration of the history of mathematics into the teaching of the Pythagorean Theorem will add color to the classroom.It is based on the above background thinking to further study the integration of mathematical history into the Pythagorean Theorem.The research purpose of this article is to easily learn the Pythagorean theorem from the perspective of the history of mathematics,so that the eighth grade students can better master the theorem learning,flexibly use the Pythagorean theorem to solve practical problems in life and provide valuable teaching suggestions for frontline teachers.Use literature analysis method,questionnaire survey and case analysis are used to understand the research status of mathematical history at home and abroad,and Pythagoras Theorem is introduced.Find out the teaching experience and learning problems that teachers and students can learn from,and finally redesign the teaching according to the current teaching situation.The research results show that the integration of the history of mathematics into teaching has an important impact on mathematics education,and many mathematics education experts at home and abroad have comprehensively studied the theory of mathematics history.In the future,people will gradually realize the value of the integration of the history of mathematics into mathematics education.Therefore,the integration of the history of mathematics needs to be further strengthened in the course of future classes.Through questionnaire analysis,most teachers believe that it is optimistic to incorporate the history of mathematics into the Pythagorean Theorem,but in actual teaching,teachers focus on the proof of the Pythagorean Theorem.According to the research results,several teaching suggestions are put forward.First,according to the cognitive development law of the eighth grade students,appropriate historical stories should be incorporated into the classroom so that they can be interested in mathematics.Second,schools can develop school-based courses to incorporate the history of mathematics.Mathematics course,taking the history of mathematics as an example of the Pythagorean Theorem,is extended to the understanding of arbitrary mathematical history.
