For a long time,the professional quality of middle school teachers has been a hot topic in the research of teacher education.Many scholars have expressed different views on how to improve the quality and ability of geography teachers in middle schools.But compared with it,classroom observation is the most direct and clear,so using the perspective of classroom observation to diagnose the professional quality of middle school geography teachers has certain theoretical and practical significance.As the leader of education development,teachers are responsible for the dissemination of knowledge and the shaping of noble morality.In reality,most people only pay attention to the development of students' accomplishment and ignore the growth of students' accomplishment.The key of how to deal with the world is teachers.Therefore,from the perspective of classroom observation,it is very important to diagnose the lack of professional quality of middle school geography teachers and formulate corresponding promotion strategies.This paper focuses on the study of the professional quality of geography teachers,according to the professional standards of middle school teachers,based on the relevant theories of geography education,analyzes the progress of classroom observation at home and abroad,and determines the meaning of the professional quality of middle school geography teachers according to the current situation of the professional quality of teachers.Using qualitative and quantitative analysis methods,this paper observes the classroom teaching records of middle school geography teachers in Guilin.Finally,it analyzes the influencing factors of their professional quality from subjective and objective reasons.The results of classroom observation show that there are some problems of geography teachers in Guilin: the professional knowledge is not solid enough,the professional skills(three board skills)need to be improved,and the professional ability literacy(teaching ability)is relatively low.Therefore,the school should start with curriculum standard,teaching design and diversified teacher evaluation mechanism to encourage teachers to actively improve and develop themselves.Teachers should strengthen the awareness of active learning,establish the concept of lifelong learning,actively participate in classroom observation and practice,learn from experience,be good at reflection,and improve their professional quality.
