ICT in Education,as an important part of national economic and social informatization,aims to make full use of information and communication technologies in various fields of the education system,develop and utilize information resources,and promote information exchange and knowledge sharing.Many countries attach great importance to ICT in education,and regard ICT in education as an important strategy to improve the quality of the entire population,enhance innovation capacity,and enhance national competitiveness.ICT in education plays an important role in promoting the balanced development of compulsory education,improving the lifelong education system,achieving educational equity,improving education quality,and building a learning society.Since the 1970 s,Singapore has established a strong information technology infrastructure through a series of national information technology plans.More importantly,an information technology-oriented environment is established.Being familiar with technology and believing in the value of information technology to social development provides an important impetus for the application of information and communication technology in education.Therefore,since the1990 s,Singapore has begun to pay attention to the development of ICT in the field of education and has promulgated a series of education informatization policies.According to policy goals,Singapore primary and secondary schools have adopted multiple measures in the process of informatization development.A complete physical and technical infrastructure has been established,and information training has been provided to teachers and administrators.In order to better implement the education informatization policy,Singapore primary and secondary schools have formulated learning projects suitable for schools and innovated learning and teaching methods.Singapore's successful practice provides an excellent example for all countries.This study is mainly divided into four parts.It mainly starts from the background of the development of Singapore's primary and secondary education informatization,examines the main measures for the development of Singapore's primary and secondary education informatization and the specific development in schools,and then analyzes the development of primary and secondary education informatization.The results and characteristics,and finally combined with the current situation of our country,put forward suggestions for the development of education informatization in primary and secondary schools.The first part mainly analyzes the development background of Singapore's primary and secondary education informatization.Under the influence of national informatization and the promotion of educational concepts,Singapore's primary and secondary education informatization has gradually developed.The second part mainly elaborates the main measures of Singapore's primary and secondary education informatization development since the 1990 s.This part mainly analyzes a number of initiatives such as education informatization policy,ICT infrastructure,teacher ICT ability,school leadership ICT ability,ICT demonstration projects,etc.The third part further analyzes the specific development of Singapore's primary and secondary education informatization in schools.This part mainly discusses the positive impact of the informatization development of Beacon Primary School.During this period,the school has undergone many changes: the creation of a one-to-one digital environment,the development of school ICT learning projects,and the innovation of teaching methods.Finally,it summarizes the development effects and characteristics of Singapore's primary and secondary education informatization since the 1990 s.The development of education informatization in Singapore's primary and secondary schools presents four characteristics: the integrity of the development content,the dynamics of the development process,the self-organization of the participants,and the non-linearity of development results.Based on a comprehensive analysis of the development background,main measures,school promotion,development effectiveness and characteristics of Singapore's primary and secondary education informatization,summarize the enlightenment for the development of primary and secondary education informatization in my country.There are accelerating the construction of educational information infrastructure,strengthening teacher information technology training,coordinating the promotion of educational informatization policies,enhancing school and social participation,and launching pilot innovative teaching models.
