Moral education is an important component in primary and secondary school education. It has become one of the major issues in the world, which is related to the prospect of national development. Based on the application of comparative method, the thesis analyzes the similarities and disparities of primary and secondary school moral education between China and Singapore in terms of objective, content, method, approach and so on. Thereafter, it summarizes the enlightenment provided by moral education in Singapore. The essence of the comparative method adopted in the thesis lies in seeking similarities and disparities. By comparison, it is of great help to study and utilize the successful experience of Singapore primary and secondary school moral education, to propagating and spreading Chinese excellent achievements in primary and secondary school moral education and to promote exchanging moral education experience. Furthermore, it enables us to know sufficiently about moral education in China and the world, thus profoundly rethinking the past, present and future of Chinese primary and secondary school moral education so as to probe into the scientific pattern of school moral education which is suitable for the national condition and the development of society, economy and culture in China and to enhance actual effect of primary and secondary school moral education in China.
