Mathematics is an ancient and applied subject.The concepts,symbols and formulas in mathematics teaching materials are the embodiment of models.In 2016,mathematical modeling was separately included in the core literacy of middle school students,which put forward higher requirements for middle school students' mathematics learning.Moreover,in the current era,Internet plus,big data and other information technology are developing rapidly,and mathematical modeling is widely applied in all walks of life.Therefore,it is an important topic to study the mathematical modeling ability of junior high school students.By using the method of literature research,this paper studies the current situation of mathematical modeling at home and abroad,defines the related concepts of mathematical modeling,especially further clarifies the ability level of mathematical modeling,and puts forward the theoretical basis of this study.In this paper,200 students and 30 mathematics teachers were selected from the second middle school of a city in Hebei Province to investigate,from which we found the problems in mathematics modeling learning of junior high school students.The main problems are:junior high school students have difficulties in understanding the meaning of the questions,in the process of solving the questions,it is difficult to transform the real situation into a mathematical problem,it is difficult to establish an accurate mathematical model,and ignore the reality test after solving the questions.Junior high school mathematics teachers have problems such as lack of understanding of mathematical modeling and lack of teaching methods.In this regard,this paper puts forward targeted strategies.First,we should flexibly implement the three joint teaching measures of "example teaching,variable training and open training";second,we should flexibly implement the three joint teaching strategies of "personalization,diversification and optimization";third,we should flexibly implement the promotion of "mathematical reading,language generalization and problem simplification" which belong to the ability of mathematical modeling The fourth is to establish a multi-dimensional evaluation system to evaluate the learning efficiency and quality of students' mathematical modeling ability in time.In this paper,the method of experimental research,after the end of the experiment,after the comparison of the pre-test and post test,the students in the experimental class are significantly better than the students in the control class,and the gap between the average scores of the two classes is large,which verifies the implementation effect of the strategy to improve the mathematical modeling ability of junior high school students.This paper lays a foundation for further research on the ability of mathematical modeling of junior high school students,and also has a certain reference value for junior high school mathematics teachers to carry out mathematical modeling teaching in the classroom.
