The application of mathematics has always been an important direction in the reform of mathematics education in our country.For many years,the curriculum standards of various editions have been strengthening the connection between mathematics and reality from "applying mathematical knowledge","solving practical problems" to "mathematical modeling literacy" at present,emphasizing the avoidance of excessive formalization of mathematics in the teaching process.However,corresponding to the rising status of mathematical modeling in the curriculum standards of various editions,its development in front-line teaching is not optimistic.Although there are objective reasons such as lack of modeling materials,knowledge reserve for senior high school students,and without mathematical modeling experience for teachers,the true reason lies in whether teachers have a correct view of mathematical modeling.Only when teachers shape a correct view,realize the significance and value as well as have an awareness of mathematical modeling,will they be willing to take an initiative to carry out teaching of mathematical modeling activities.Similarly,only when students have a correct view of mathematical modeling can they actively participate in the learning of mathematical modeling.Therefore,this paper has conducted an investigation and study on the mathematical modeling views of teachers and students in high schools in Chongqing area.In order to know current situations and differences between teachers and students concerning mathematical modeling view.After analysis of reasons for the differences,it aims to put forward corresponding suggestions and promote the implementation of mathematical modeling in senior high school.Firstly,based on the method of literature review,this paper analyzes and sorts out relevant basic concepts such as mathematical modeling and mathematical view,and defines the core concepts of this paper.Secondly,the questionnaire survey method is used to investigate and analyze teachers' and students' views on mathematical modeling from 6 dimensions:learning background,the view of mathematical model,mathematicalmodeling knowledge,mathematical modeling value,mathematical modeling emotion and mathematical modeling teaching view(learning view).Besides,with the combination of interview method,this paper goes deep into mathematical modeling view between teachers and students from the perspective of the qualitative research.Finally,according to the analysis of the survey results,conclusions can be drawn that there are reasons for the differences between teachers and students' views on mathematical modeling,and relevant reform measures and suggestions are put forward accordingly.Through the research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Teachers in Chongqing area have a good performance except for emotional dimension,and have the basic ability to carry out mathematical modeling teaching.Students' performance of mathematical modeling is poor.There are specific problems such as inaccurate understanding of mathematical models,incomplete understanding of the value of mathematical modeling and insufficient knowledge reserve of mathematical modeling;(2)There are significant deviations between teachers and students' mathematical modeling view and correct mathematical modeling view,among 6dimensions,teachers behave worst in emotional dimension,this shows that teachers are not enthusiastic about mathematical modeling,and students perform worst in mathematical model dimension,it also shows that students do not know the basic concepts in modeling clearly;(3)There are also different degrees of differences between teachers and students' views on mathematical modeling in various dimensions.Between teachers and students' mathematical modeling view,they are the biggest difference in mathematical model dimension,while the smallest difference in emotional dimension.Teachers are all better than students except for emotional dimension of mathematical modeling.Based on this,this paper puts forward a number of suggestions and measures from three aspects: improvement of teachers' own quality,reform of teaching methods and reform of evaluation mechanism to promote teachers and students to improve their own mathematical modeling view and pave the way for the development of mathematical modeling teaching.
