Textbook interpretation ability is an important part of teachers’ professional ability,and it is also an important ability that novice teachers need to improve.Chinese novice teachers are in the early stage of their tenure,and the improvement of textbook interpretation ability mostly stagnates,which makes the textbook interpretation poor.The author hopes to show and analyze the improvement process of novice Chinese teachers’ textbook interpretation ability by studying the stories of their ability improvement,so as to provide some references for other Chinese novice teachers to improve their textbook interpretation ability.This paper discusses the improvement of Chinese novice teachers’ textbook interpretation ability from five parts.Chapter 1 is the introduction,which mainly includes five parts: the reason of topic selection,the purpose and significance of research,literature review,the definition of core concepts and research methods.First of all,through practical observation,it is found that Chinese novice teachers’ textbook interpretation ability is at a low level,which makes the teaching activities related to textbook interpretation in different degrees of dilemma,and their textbook interpretation ability needs to be improved.At the same time,textbook interpretation is very important,and the textbook interpretation ability is an important part of professional competence.Textbook interpretation ability is a hot issue in teaching theory research.And later self-development needs put forward the topic of this study;Secondly,this study has practical significance for Chinese novice teachers to improve the ability of textbook interpretation,solve practical problems of textbook interpretation,promote professional development and professional growth.Thirdly,the literature is reviewed from the aspects of novice teachers,textbook interpretation and textbook interpretation ability and novice teachers’ textbook interpretation ability.On the whole,domestic and foreign studies on this topic mostly focus on the current situation of the use of the ability,and there are few studies on the improvement process of ability and the use of narrative research.This provides space for this study to use narrative research methods to enhance the analysis.Thirdly,it defines the core concepts of Chinese novice teachers and textbook interpretation ability.Finally,the research methods used in this study are explained.This study mainly uses the narrative research method,combining observation with interview.Chapter 2 deconstruct the ability of reading textbooks.To interpret the textbook,it is necessary to interpret the objective contents such as symbols,knowledge content,author’s intention and to complete the interpretation of teachers’ perception and pedagogical interpretation.The interpretation needs to make full use of the ability of understanding,analysis,appreciation,empathy and transformation.Textbook reading ability forms a comprehensive dimension from the vertical in-depth dimension of reading content and the horizontal parallel dimension of reading ability,that is the final presentation state of textbook reading ability: the ability to understand textbooks,the ability to read unobstructed textbook and the ability to read textbook thoroughly.Chapter 3 is the story of Teacher A’s textbook interpretation ability improvement.Improving the capacity of A teacher’s textbook reading ability and reading practice has important effects on the story telling,directly A novice teachers for the language teachers in the process of text interpretation practice,the ability to understand textbooks,the ability to read unobstructed textbook and the ability to read textbook thoroughly characteristics in improvement and practical performance,etc.Chapter 4 is to explore the deep meaning and enlightenment behind the story.From the three aspects of the ability to understand textbooks,the ability to read unobstructed textbook and the ability to read textbook thoroughly,this paper probes into the process of improving the textbook reading ability of novice Chinese teachers,the key factors for improving the textbook reading ability and the effective ways adopted by novice Chinese teachers in the process.Chapter 5 is the conclusion.On the basis of reflection of the research,it points out the problems and deficiencies in the research.Textbook interpretation ability is a component of teachers’ professional ability.Improving this ability can promote teachers’ professional growth,optimize teaching.This study deconstructs the textbook interpretation ability and presents the story of improvement.It answers the question of how to improve this ability and has practical significance.
