The International Charter of geography education 2016 emphasizes that "geography is the only science that focuses on spatial differentiation",and clarifies the importance of geospatial cognitive ability.Many key contents in senior high school geography learning,such as "the movement of the earth","the formation of air pressure belt and wind belt","regional coordinated development" and other knowledge with complex motion principles or large spatial and temporal scales,need to mobilize students' geospatial cognitive ability to a higher degree.The key task of senior high school geography teaching is to cultivate senior high school students' geospatial cognitive ability? Senior high school geography curriculum standard(2017 Edition)proposes that "in geography teaching,we should make full use of information technology to create a more intuitive,real-time and vivid digital geography teaching environment",which reflects the inevitable trend of information technology assisted geography teaching.Therefore,in order to cult ivate students' geospatial cognitive ability,it is of great significance to explore the application of network map in high school geography teaching.This paper mainly uses the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,expert interview and case analysis to study the application of network map in the cultivation of senior high school students' geospatial cognitive ability.Firstly,this paper summarizes the research status of geospatial cognitive ability,the development of network map and teaching.Combined with the views put forward by many scholars,this paper defines the related concepts of network map and geospatial cognitive ability,and puts forward the feasibility and design principles of network map teaching according to the characteristics of network map and geospatial cognitive thinking of high school students.Then,through the questionnaire survey and teacher interviews,we understand the development of senior high school students' geospatial cognitive ability,geography teachers' feelings on the application of classroom teaching network map and their views on the cultivation of students' geospatial cognitive ability.Finally,summarize the network map teaching strategy,summarize the general teaching process,combined with teaching cases to show the teaching process.The main conclusions are as follows:First,from the new curriculum standard,it is proposed that the use of information technology teaching new requirements and geospatial cognitive ability is an important thinking ability of senior high school students,which shows that the application of network map in the cultivation of senior high school students' geospatial cognitive ability is feasible.The network map can simulate the real geographical situation for senior high school students to learn the spatial movement track of geographical things and large spatial-temporal scale geographical events,and enhance students' spatial perception.Secondly,through data collection and literature analysis,the concept of network map is defined,that is: network map is spread and used through the Internet or map software,which can realize the functions of real-time update,spatial measurement,interactive query and multi-dimensional display,break the scale of time and space,and create a visual electronic map of geographical situation.Such as Baidu street view map,Google map and other online maps.Combined with the importance of geospatial thinking embodied in high school geography learning content,this paper divides the geospatial cognitive ability into three dimensions: geospatial positioning ability,geospatial conception ability and geospatial reasoning and calculation ability,and designs student survey papers,test questions,teacher interviews and teaching cases on this basis.Third,communicate with many experts and senior high school geography teachers to determine the design angle of the questionnaire,and then modify and improve it according to the experts' opinions,and finally determine the setting of the questionnaire title.According to the results of the survey,it is found that students generally agree that network map is more helpful for learning more abstract knowledge that tests geospatial cognitive ability;However,there are some problems such as too short time for teachers to display the network map,too much information,too late to extract effective information and so on.The surveyed teachers generally believe that network map has multiple advantages compared with traditional map teaching,but the proportion of teachers using network map teaching in actual classroom teaching is not high,mainly because of the limited classroom time,unskilled operation,teaching equipment lag and so on.Based on the above survey results,combined with the suggestions of front-line geography teachers,this paper puts forward the teaching strategies of network map,and combs the learning content of high school geography textbooks of PEP,which not only reflects the examination of geospatial cognitive ability,but also applies to network map teaching.Fourth,based on the three dimensions of geospatial positioning ability,geospatial conception ability and geospatial reasoning ability,the paper puts forward the corresponding teaching strategies and summarizes the general teaching process.This paper selects Celestia,baidu street view map,Google Earth three network map software,combined with the cultivation of students' geospatial cognitive ability,carries out the teaching design,verifies the effectiveness and feasibility of the general teaching process,and aims to optimize the network map geography teaching.Through the questionnaire survey,this paper collects the feedback of senior high school geography teachers on the feasibility,appropriateness and acceptability of the three teaching cases.The results show that the teachers think that the design of teaching cases is reasonable,they can better complete the teaching task,and they are willing to try.However,due to the limitation of teaching equipment and teaching time,some teachers have some difficulties in using network map teaching.
