Based on the theory of generative teaching, this study believes that the unexpected events in the classroom are events that happen accidentally in the class and beyond the teacher's expectation.Such events are diverse, random and occasional, and will directly affect the teacher's classroom teaching quality.Especially for overseas Chinese teachers, affected by the differences in language, national culture, regional environment and so on,unexpected events in Chinese classes occur frequently. If teachers can't handle properly, they will bring some trouble to their own classroom teaching. In order to improve the ability of international Chinese teachers to respond to unexpected events in class, the author combined his own teaching practice experience in Indonesia, through classroom observations and teacher interviews, and summarized the characteristics of Indonesian elementary school curriculum-improper time arrangement and Indonesian elementary school students' classroom presentation features: short attention span, weak sense of discipline, active personality, large differences in Chinese proficiency, weak learning motivation, attention to personal privacy, and the author collected 229 cases related to unexpected events.Through the analysis and integration of case resources, this study classified the causes of unexpected events in Indonesian elementary school Chinese classrooms into four categories: teacher factors, student factors, environmental factors, textbook factors, and combined the above characteristics to select 32 typical cases. The detailed attribution analysis of the case further pointed out the value of teaching resources of unexpected events and the advantages and disadvantages of Chinese teachers in handling unexpected events in class. On this basis, this study points out the basic teaching principles of dealing with unexpected events in Chinese as a foreign language classroom: focusing on language teaching, maximizing teaching resources, and two forms of unexpected events transforming into teaching resources: instant transformation and delayed transformation. It also puts forward some teaching suggestions for Chinese teachers to deal with unexpected events in class: fully prepare before class, witty response in class, positive reflection after class,And strategies for Indonesian primary schools to deal with unexpected events in Chinese lessons: optimizing the classroom teaching mechanism, improving the handover and training of Chinese teachers, cultivating stable and high-level Chinese teachers, and improve the case database of unexpected events in Chinese classroom,to make Chinese teachers' professional quality and teaching ability become better. Finally,The conclusion part summarizes the results of this study, points out the shortcomings of this study, and looks into the future of this study.
