The development of rural education is a key step in the implementation of Rural Revitalization Strategy,and rural teachers play an important role in the developing rural education and improving the quality of rural education.At the same time,the concept of teaching evaluation is continuously progressing and developing.Under the guidance of the new teaching evaluation concept,teachers' teaching evaluation practice should also keep up with the pace of development.Therefore,it is necessary to investigate and study the teaching evaluation ability of mathematics teachers in rural junior high school.Based on the literature review of rural teachers' teaching evaluation ability,this study investigates the current situation of teaching evaluation ability of mathematics teachers in rural junior high school by using the methods of questionnaire and statistical analysis,the results are as follows:Firstly,the three-dimensional structure of junior high school mathematics teachers' teaching evaluation ability is extracted.The structure includes the evaluation ability of students' academic performance and the development level of intellectual factors;and the evaluation ability of the development level of students' emotions,attitudes and values and other non-intellectual factors;and the ability of the level of students' mathematics learning activities.Secondly,the current situation of rural junior high school mathematics teachers' teaching evaluation ability is analyzed.The research shows that although the teaching evaluation ability of rural junior high school mathematics teachers is just above the good level on the whole,however,as for the secondary indicators,their ability to evaluate the development level of non-intellectual factors such as students' emotions,attitudes and values and their ability to evaluate the level of students' mathematics learning activities are not ideal.In addition,there are some problems such as the content of teaching evaluation is not comprehensive,the enthusiasm of participating in teaching and research activities of mathematics teaching evaluation is not high,and the opportunity of going out to learn advanced experience of mathematics teaching evaluation is not sufficient.Thirdly,starting from both the teachers themselves and external support,strategies are proposed to improve the teaching evaluation ability of rural junior high school mathematics teachers.First of all,starting from the teachers themselves,suggestions are put forward from the aspects of the whole content of teaching evaluation,the evaluation of development level of non-intellectual factors such as students' emotions and attitudes,the evaluation of students' level of mathematics learning activities,the methods of teaching evaluation,and the enthusiasm of participating in the teaching and research activities of the school's mathematics teaching evaluation.Next,starting from the external support,suggestions are made from the aspect of the schools,the education departments,and the government.
