Physics is a theoretical and practical subject that studies the general motion law and the fundamental structure of all matters,from cosmic celestial bodies to microparticles.It can be said that our daily life is inseparable from physics.Since ancient times,physics technologies have played an important role in all walks of life.What's more,physical knowledge is also an essential condition for scientific and technological innovation.In 2014,the State Council promulgated the "Opinions on Deepening the Reform on the Examination and Enrollment System ",in order to further implement the requirements put forward by the Third Plenary Session of the 18 th CPC Central Committee to intensify the reform of the examination and enrollment system,comprehensively promote education equity and raise the level of selection,which marked the official start of the reform of the new college entrance examination in the whole country.The main purpose of the new college entrance examination is to give students more choices,lighten the burden of students,and select and train professional talents.However,the number of students choosing physics was relatively small for various reasons in the new college entrance examination implemented in Zhejiang and Shanghai,which exceeded people's expectations and attracted the attention of many scholars and experts.Therefore,it is very necessary to study this problem in depth.Firstly,the literature analysis method was used to collect and sort out the research materials related to the new college entrance examination and physics selective examination,and then analyze and summarize the factors that affect the students' examination selection,and lay the foundation for this study.In view of the fact that 2020 was the first year of the new college entrance examination in Shandong Province,it was of great significance to analyze the data of the college entrance examination in Shandong Province in 2020,by analyzing the admission probability of the students who choose physics subjects in the college entrance examination and the scope of professional choice,this paper summarizes the advantages of the candidates who choose physics.After that,it focused on the relationship between the learning quality of high school students and the physics selective selection.It mainly investigated some high school students in Jinan from the aspects of family,school,society and academic achievement through questionnaire survey and interview.Finally,it utilized the SPSS software to analyze the data of the questionnaire survey of senior one and senior two and the results of the mock examination of the 2017 class students in Jinan in June 2020.This paper focused on students' physics academic performance and total score,and studied the factors that influenced students' choice of physics,putting forward appropriate suggestions according to the research results.Through the investigation,the main factors affecting students' physics selection can be summarized as follows: subject difficulty,grading system,degree of competition,academic performance,interest in learning and physics teachers.On that basis,combined with Gardner's theory of multiple intelligence,Bandura's theory of self-efficacy and Daniel Kahneman's dual-system theory,this paper will put forward some suggestions to improve the "not as expected" status of physical examination and increase the number of physical examination in the respect of physics classrooms,middle schools,universities and policies.The innovations of this paper are as follows:First,this paper designs a questionnaire on the learning quality of senior high school students from the perspective of their time,purpose and achievement,combining the characteristics of physics and the relevant contents of pedagogy and psychology.The reliability and validity of the questionnaire were tested on the basis of many revisions.Finally,the questionnaire was used to investigate three schools with different teaching levels in Jinan,and 852 valid data were obtained,and the data were analyzed and dependable results were produced.Second,this paper analyzes the results of the model test in June 2020 of the students of grade 2017 in 13 high schools directly under the municipal governments of Jinan city.The sample is large and the result is credible.
