The teaching of composition is the primary importance of Chinese teaching in primary school.It is also a basic and important work for improving students ' quality in an all-round way.The third stage of composition in primary school is the expansion of the first and second stage.The key points of the third stage of composation teaching are the training of discourse and it should enable students to have the ability to write short narrative.At the same time,narrative is an important writing style in primary school,and also the most commonly used style by primary school students.Primary school students are in an important stage of development of physical and mental.Teachers should be more in-depth and comprehensive thinking about how to solve a series of problems in this stage.Therefore,the teaching of narrative composition is the key and difficult points in the current primary school Chinese teaching.Chaoyang Primary School has a long history and profound background in Yanji.The teachers of the school are experienced in teaching.This paper mainly studies the third stage of composition in Yanji Chaoyang Primary School.There are 12 teachers who teach the third stage of composition and selected eight classes ' students from Grade 5 and Grade 6,total 324 people participated in this survey.This paper consists of four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,mainly including the causes of the problem,the purpose and significance of the research,the main research status,and the scope and methods of the research.The second chapter is the requirements and suggestions from the curriculum standards for the teaching of the third stage composition in primary school.The third chapter is the investigation of the narrative writing in third stageof composition in Yanji Chaoyang Primary school.This part mainly includes: Firstly,the basic information of the respondents.The author mainly starts from the two perspectives of teachers and students.The teaching situation of teachers.The main contents of the research include the teachers' attitude towards writing teaching and the preparation and methods used in teaching.The investigation of students' learning situation,which is mainly divided into the situation of students' participation and students' writing ability.Secondly,theresult of narrative teaching in third stage.Thirdly,find some problems existing in the teaching.The fourth chapter author gives some suggestions for the problems which be found during the investigation.The author according to the existing problems from status of narrative teaching in the third stage of composition and combined with the main source of the problem put forwad corresponding suggestions to teachers and students.Teachers should pay attention to the special training of the writing,improve the evaluation method of the writing,and teach students in accordance with their aptitude.Students should take a sincere attitude of life to accumulate a wealth of material,and avoid the old ways and monotonous materials appeared in writing.We should strengthen reading and cultivate the ability to combine reading and writing in common.It is hoped that the relevant suggestions put forward in this paper can provide some help for the improvement of the teaching of the third stage of Chinese composition in Yanji Chaoyang Primary School and provide the corresponding case examples for other primary schools in related aspects.
