In recent years,there have been frequent reversals of online public opinion.Repeated reversals of the truth not only diminish the rationality of the public and accumulate negative emotions,but also seriously challenge the credibility of the media and the government,further intensifying social conflicts and weakening the social basis of trust,resulting in social disharmony and instability.In the face of the complex network of public opinion space,it is very important to effectively identify the authenticity of news,guide people to reasonably engage in public opinion,and hold accountable for bad network behaviors afterwards.The decentralization,autonomy of blockchain technology and the technical characteristics of the blockchain data that cannot be tampered with have brought technological advantages different from previous technologies for management of network public opinion.The research analyzes the causes and the governance dilemma of the internet public opinion reversal,the paper builds the technical architecture of the social media platform under the blockchain technology,combining with the technical frame and particularity of blockchain.From the three aspects of news source verification,public opinion ecological autonomy,and the clear way for the government to find the person in charge,the online public opinion reversal governance mechanism under the blockchain technology has been systematically constructed.Then,from the perspective of opinion dynamics,an opinion evolution model(traditional model for short)to simulate the online public opinion reversal process under traditional social media platforms was constructed,and simulations were performed to verify that the above model can truly describe the practical public opinion reversal process.According to the online public opinion reversal governance mechanism under the blockchain technology constructed in this research,the blockchain governance factor is introduced on the basis of the above-mentioned traditional model,and improvements are made to obtain the social media platform public opinion reversal model under the blockchain technology(Blockchain model),and conduct simulation comparisons to verify the governance effect of blockchain technology on the reversal of online public opinion.The research indicates that blockchain technology is able to successfully prevent emotional polarization from happening during public opinion reversal and reduce the magnitude of online public opinion reversal.Specifically:(1)Introducing a reputation penalty mechanism on the blockchain social media platform,and retaining online behavior data and provides evidence support for government accountability can effectively regulate the behavior of netizens and promote their rational participation in public opinion expression.Moreover,the greater the reputation penalty and the risk of government accountability,the more individuals tend to express their opinions rationally,the better the governance effect of online public opinion reversal;(2)In social media platforms,effective integration of information can enable the public to have a clearer understanding of public opinion events,thereby weakening the influence of irrational views to a certain extent,and further reducing the extent of public opinion reversal.This study has great important academic significance and applied value.Applying blockchain technology to public opinion governance contributes to the theory of public opinion governance,boosts the progress and use of blockchain technology theory,and provides new solutions for the governing the rotation of public opinion in the network,so as to give impetus to the sound development of the current media environment.
