Self-confidence play an important role in everyone’s growth.Everyone’s healthy growth needs self-confidence.People with self-confidence can not only integrate into various environments,but also be optimistic to deal with difficulties.Lack of self-confidence will have a negative impact on children’s self-cognition,social interaction,emotion and learning.Through the author’s investigation,the children of families in rural areas can enjoy less resources,most of the psychological problems are regulated by themselves,and there is a serious lack of self-confidence in this group.Therefore,the author tries to use case work to help children in rural families to improve the self-confidence.First of all,the author carries on the research and investigation to the difficult family children group in L village,discovers the present situation of the group’s self-confidence insufficiency,analyzes the reason which causes this present situation.After that,the author selects the clients of W case work and establishes the service relationship.The author investigates the school,family and social support relationship of the victim,and estimates the reasons for the lack of self-confidence of the victim.Based on the theory of "human being in the situation" in psycho-social therapy mode,the author evaluates the needs of the victim from three aspects: physiology,psychology and society.Secondly,based on the theory of energy enhancement and the theory of advantage,the author makes a systematic study on the problem of self-confidence improvement of the victim by case work.The author designed 8 case activities in this service,and summarized and reflected after each service.Then the author carries out the case service work according to the activity design in turn.In the process of communicating with the victim,the author adopts the unstructured interview method,the semi-structured interview method,the observation method,and uses empathy,listening,encouragement and other case work skills to provide more professional services to the victim.To guide the victim to gradually improve his self-awareness,actively integrate into peer groups,close family relations,help the victim to increase his self-energy,help the victim to link the surrounding resources to establish a stable social support system for the victim,and solve the problem of the material and emotional needs of the victim.At the end of the service,the author evaluates the results of this case service according to the results of Rosenberg confidence scale before and after measurement,and combines the evaluation of the case service and the self-evaluation of social workers.It was found that the confidence of the victim was significantly higher than before.Finally,the author summarizes and reflects on it,hoping that this study can make more people pay attention to the self-confidence of children in rural families in distress,and also bring reference significance to the study of social work in rural families and children in distress.
