| Textbooks are valuable resources for teaching and play a very important role in classroom teaching.The content of the textbooks indicates the tasks that need to be completed in classroom teaching,and the quality of the textbooks directly affects the effectiveness of classroom teaching.Therefore,in order to improve the teaching efficiency,the study of textbooks is particularly important.Illustrations in the textbooks are an important part of textbooks.Like texts in the textbooks,they have an important role in carrying information.Therefore,in order to develop the resources in the textbooks,we can not ignore the study of illustrations in the textbooks.For illustrations in textbooks,the current main research orientations are: the strategies for designing illustrations in the textbooks,the use of illustrations in the textbooks,the methods of arranging illustrations in the textbooks,the classification of illustrations in the textbooks,and the optimized application of illustrations in the textbooks.However,the author found that in most of the literature,the research on illustrations in textbooks is mainly theoretical and very vague.There are very few investigations and studies on the use of illustrations in the textbooks in specific areas.Based on the author’s teaching practice,this thesis conducts a corresponding investigation and research on the use of illustrations of the physics textbooks in senior high school in remote areas of Northwest China.This thesis is composed of seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly analyzes the research background and the current research status of related topics at home and abroad.It summarizes the results of the research on related topics in the literature and analyzes the further research orientation.On this basis,it also clarifies the content and research ideas of this thesis.That is to say,this thesis mainly investigates the use of illustrations in senior high school physics textbooks in remote northwestern regions of China.The high school physics textbooks here refer to the New Curriculum Standards in the high school physics textbook series: Physics Compulsory 1,Physics Compulsory 2,Physics Optional 3-1,Physics Optional 3-4 and Physics Optional 3-5.The second chapter focuses on the theoretical basis supporting theresearch of this topic,that is,combining Constructivist learning theory,Humanistic learning theory,Double coding theory and high school students’ cognitive development level to explore and analyze the theory based on this research.The third chapter classifies the illustrations in the textbooks.There are many bases for classification.In this paper,the illustrations are divided into chapter head diagram,text picture and exercise picture mainly according to their position in the textbooks.Under the premise of this classification,further classified from the functional perspective,the text picture is divided into three types: conceptual tools,ability improvement and emotional deepening categories.Compared with the current researches in this direction,this thesis incorporates the illustrations of physical principles and schematics into the ability improvement category,because the knowledge points involved in this type of illustrations are relatively difficult,and they mainly test students’ comprehensive application of knowledge.ability.The fourth chapter is the focus of this thesis.It mainly investigates the use of illustrations in senior high school physics textbooks in remote areas of Northwest China through questionnaire surveys and interviews.The author selected some teachers and students from 13 senior high schools in Wuwei as the survey subjects,designed two sets of questionnaires for teachers and students respectively,and conducted a survey on the use of illustrations in physics teaching to investigate these teachers and students in this area.Besides,the author made a detailed statistical analysis.In addition,the author also conducted an interview survey on some representative teachers and students in this area,and made a summary of the interview.The fifth chapter is mainly about the application strategies of various illustrations in teaching.Based on the previous investigation and analysis results of the classification of illustrations and the use of the illustrations in physics textbooks,the author proposes corresponding strategies for the application of various illustrations in teaching.Chapter six puts forward general suggestions on the strategies of using illustrations in senior high school physics textbooks.The seventh chapter is about the conclusions and reflections.This part analyzes and summarizes the main research results of this thesis and makes reflections. |
