| Case-study Teaching Method,as a teaching approach,has received more and more attention along with a new round of curriculum reform.The New Curriculum Standard of Geography clearly points out that it is necessary to study useful geography that could be benefit for life-long development,and advocate inquiry learning mode is also needed,and Case-study Teaching Method is included.Specifically,teachers bring typical cases into the classroom,create a real situation,set questions,guide and organize students to analyze and cooperate with each other in line with curriculum standards,teaching objectives and teaching contents,thus will allow students to master basic knowledge and skills systematically while improving students’ ability to analyze and solve problems in learning.At present,Case-study Teaching Method is in the emergence in China,research of which also have not gone far enough as well as got little concern,so is not the major teaching method in subject teaching of basic education.Based on the author’s major and geography teaching practice,the author takes “the Application of High School Geography Case Teaching” as the research topic,expecting to make his own research contributions to the theoretical construction of Case-study Teaching Method and the practice guidance of middle school geography case study teaching.This paper include the following four aspects:(1)The meaning and theoretical basis of case study method,and the superiority and limitation of case study teaching method on Geography.(2)To carry out the investigation of the implementation of the case study teaching method on Geography in high school in the district,and analyze existing problems.(3)The basic process of case study method is expounded,and several key links havebeen studied in depth,and design principles of case study teaching method on Geography should be summarized.(4)The author designed the case,implemented the teaching and evaluated the teaching effect,and get to know the application of case study teaching method on Geography in high school by taking actions,and provides reference for the promotion of the method.Against the backdrop of new curriculum,the research shows case study teaching method on Geography in high school is an advanced teaching method.Both teachers and students think that it has a great superiority in lifting learning interest,cultivating geographical literacy and enhancing geography learning ability.At present,there are insufficient adaptations of case study teaching method in practical teaching,but teachers and students have a high expectation for it.The author finds multiple reasons lead to difficulty for us to promote the case study method on Geography in high school.The author puts forward suggestions and countermeasures for the principles and processes of case design and evaluation scheme of key links.In order to test the actual effect of such a method in middle school Geography teaching,the author conducts teaching research action.The conclusion is the case study method has a positive impact on most students,mainly reflected in learning interests rising,the involvement in class,geographical learning ability and thinking,the cultivation of geographical core literacy,geographical grades and so on. |
