This paper introduces the task-based teaching method to explore the teaching design of oral communication in junior middle school Chinese.Oral communication teaching is one of the five major parts of Chinese teaching in compulsory education.it is the basic way to cultivate students' core literacy of Chinese subject.its purpose is to cultivate and improve students' listening and speaking ability and communication ability.The consolidated junior high school Chinese textbook,which was published and put into use in 2016,has greatly adjusted the teaching content of oral communication,and its content is more rigorous and scientific.Task-based approach originated from the teaching of second language acquisition in the West.it is an important achievement of the comprehensive development and application of constructivist learning theory,linguistics,communication and other theories.Task-based teaching method emphasizes "learning by doing",with learners as the main body,teachers as the guidance and specific tasks as the core to arouse students' enthusiasm for learning,so as to enable students to acquire language knowledge and skills in the process of completing tasks on their own.The introduction of task-based teaching method into junior middle school Chinese oral communication teaching design can better optimize the oral communication teaching system.Task-based teaching method pays attention to the process of oral communication learning,situation creation and interactive communication,which can make the goal of oral communication teaching more specific,the training procedure more clear,the degree of student participation enhanced and the evaluation system optimized.on the basis of mobilizing students' learning initiative,we can achieve the goal of improving students' oral communication literacy.Task-based teaching is carried out according to the order of pre-task,in-task and post-task.Under this teaching mode,the types of oral communication tasks are divided into problem-solving type,sharing type and creative type.The key of task-based teaching design of oral communication is to design different types of tasks according to different types of teaching content,and to point out the specific implementation steps and methods,and it is more pertinent to carry out teaching design according to task types.It is more convenient for teaching.The task-based teaching design of oral communication in junior middle school should pay attention to: its purpose is to improve students' oral communication competence rather than to let students complete the task;teachers should control the wholeprocess of students to complete the task;the main way of evaluation is formative evaluation.Task-based approach is a teaching method worth trying in oral communication teaching,and its research needs to be extensive and in-depth.
