Primary oral Chinese teaching plays a significant role in the system of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.It is the foundation of the whole Chinese teaching.Task-based teaching method which appeared in the 1980 s is a kind of new teaching method on the basis of second language acquisition theory.This method adheres to the learners as the center and advocate learning by doing and learning by using.It also emphasizes to design of the task and complete the teaching for the purpose.This kind of teaching model can not only stimulate students' learning enthusiasm and initiative but also cultivate students' communicative ability and improve the learning effect.Therefore,task-based method is the right teaching method that ' s needed by modern Chinese spoken language teaching.This thesis is divided into six parts.The first part is an introduction part,which introduced the background and significance.It also summarizes and reviews the domestic and foreign experts' research of task-based teaching method.The second part mainly introduces the basic theory of task-based teaching,including the principles of task design,task design difficulty level and its influencing factors and the type of task design,etc.The third part,by means of questionnaire and the current situation of Philippines middle school primary oral Chinese teaching are analyzed in detail.The fourth part discusses the task-based teaching method in the Philippines with the feasibility and advantagesof primary spoken Chinese teaching in middle schools.And the analysis shows that the Philippines language environment and teaching conditions are suitable for using task-based teaching method as a whole.The fifth part expounds the specific design and implementation of task-based teaching in Philippine middle school's primary oral Chinese class.It designs many oral tasks to solve the problems of students have less participation and speaking in oral Chinese class.Thus,students can improve their oral Chineseby playing games and finishing tasks.What ' s more,it also summarizes some problems as well as puts forward relevant solutions and suggestions.The sixth is divided into conclusion part,which is reviewed and summarized the whole thesis and research deficiencies are pointed out.This thesis is using literature material method,questionnaire survey method and practical teaching method and other research methods.It mainly from the basic theory of the task-based teaching method and combining with the current teaching of secondary schools in the Philippines primary oral Chinese class teaching actual situation,which based on the text book HAPPY CHINESE and design a set of suitable tasks for the Chinese learners.And it puts forward relevant suggestions and comments from three aspects like students,teachers and teaching materials.For example,strengthening students' self-discipline consciousness and developing good study habits and improving teachers' professional level and quality,as well as making the design of teaching material more funny and communicative and so on.Hope it can provide new ideas and methods for Chinese language teaching in the Philippines.
