Task-based language teaching method(TBLT)is a kind of language teaching method that emerged in the 1980 s.Its main feature is that it enables students to complete target language learning through task activities,so that students can learn language knowledge,master language skills and exercise their communicative competence in the process of completing tasks.Based on its unique teaching concept,the author first applied TBLT method in the teaching practice of elementary spoken Chinese in Suvaran middle school in Thailand,who hoped to improve the poor oral Chinese ability of the students there.In accordance with the textbook "experiencing Chinese",the author designed the teaching contents of three periods,namely,expressing the intention of sports,expressing the information of sports and exercising together,in combination with the learning characteristics and Chinese proficiency of students,in order to enable students to master the daily communicative ability of sports topics.Through the practice of task-based teaching method,it is hoped to bring better oral learning experience to the students of Suvaran middle school,and improve the situation that the students dare not use Chinese for oral communication and are unable to apply the learned language knowledge to oral expression.This paper is divided into four chapters,the specific content is as follows:The first chapter is the introduction,which is divided into four sections.This paper introduces the research background,the value and significance of the topic selection,and briefly analyzes the research status of TBLT at home and abroad and the research status of teaching design.The second chapter is the theoretical part of this thesis.This paper introduces the theoretical basis of TBLT in the teaching design of the elementary spoken Chinese course "sports",and analyzes the TBLT theory and the relevant design of tasks,including the factors to be consideredin the design of TBLT and the principles of task design.The third chapter is the teaching design part of the oral English course "sports".It mainly includes three parts: the analysis of relevant elements,the design and analysis of the spoken language course of sports and the specific teaching practice.The relevant elements are analyzed from three aspects: teaching situation,teaching object and teaching material.The part of task design analysis points out the role of the designed task activities in each teaching segment of TBLT and the corresponding theory of TBLT.Through the analysis of relevant elements and task design,the feasible task activity plan is obtained.According to the task plan,the specific teaching design is made and the teaching practice is carried out.The fourth chapter is the part of teaching analysis and reflection.The author analyzes the actual teaching practice results and reflects on the deficiencies of teaching design.Summarize the teaching experience,think about the causes of the problems and give some Suggestions.
