Under the background of “Internet+”,the trend ofexplosive growth for media information has become increasingly apparent,and media literacy gradually become one of the basic qualities that citizens should possess.Faced with the new situation,the ideological and political education in colleges and universities,which is the main education approach for college students,should pay attention to the content of media literacyin courses.Analyzing the problems and causes of media literacy education,enhancing its education effectively are very needed to improve university students' resistance to ideological erosion and ensure the safety of ideological institutions in the new media environment.It is also the important content of the education of college students' socialist core values.Questionnaires were used to investigate the media literacy and education of 1,360 college students.The following results have been showed that: First,college students have the problems of unilateral knowledge in media structure,weak in screeninginformation,and seeking fun from media which result in the lack of media cognition to evade negative influence,lack of awareness in media evaluation,and dependence on media,efforts to circumvent the ethical misconduct of the media are not enough.Second,in classes,the problems are weak in awareness in media literacy education,lack of media literacy education content system,and lack of experience in the media literacy education team.Secondly,the content and form of media literacy education in college ideological and political theory courses were investigated.It was concluded that the application of ideological and political theories in colleges and universities and the integration of teaching content through media information technology have already begun the practice of media literacy education.After understanding the problems and causes,it is proposed that in order to enhance media literacy education,the content selection,practical approaches,teacher guidance and environmental optimization should be focused and then meet the requirements of ideological and political education.Through the research,the following conclusions are drawn: First,under the new media environment,the media literacy education is an important part of ideological and political theory education in colleges and universities,it should focus on "education" instead of "media." Second,improving information literacy,broadening political horizons,and exercising critical awareness are important aspects of college students' media literacy education in ideological and political education.Thirdly,the guidance of ideological and political teachers,the college students' individual initiative and optimization of Internet public opinion environment are very crucial to enhance media literacy education in college ideological and political education.
