| Chinese language teachers pay more attention to critical reading now,but most of students are not good at critical reading independently.How to support students’ extracurricular critical reading is a question worth exploring.This research puts forward the idea and explores the procedures of designing the self-regulated learning worksheets for critical reading.This thesis consists of four parts including the essence and requirements of critical reading;the function of the self-regulated learning worksheet and its feasibility of supporting critical reading;the design and use of the self-regulated learning worksheet for critical reading and its sample presentation.In the literature research,researcher analyzes the meaning,process,strategies and requirements of critical reading,and summarizes the functions and types of the self-regulated learning worksheet as a learning scaffold.Demonstrate the feasibility of using the self-regulated learning worksheet to support students to read critically and independently.On this basis,the design ideas for self-regulated learning worksheet for critical reading were conceived.The self-regulated learning worksheet for critical reading is composed of "objective module","task module","reminder module" and "reflection module".The designer analyzes the learning situation to determine the development level of students base on the Zone of Proximal Development;predicts the obstacles students may encounter in critical reading to clarify the content through text interpretation;sets the " objective module" for critical reading based on the curriculum standards;designs the "task module" that meets the reading process and the "reflection module" that reflects the requirements of critical reading carrying out the critical reading principle;sets the "reminder module" considering the design requirements,learning situation and text.It is possible to effectively design the self-regulated learning worksheet for critical reading following the steps which consist of learning situation analysis,text interpretation,reading goal setting,reading task designing,reading strategy supporting and reading reflection providing.The learning worksheet was tried out by the senior high school student in Liuzhou,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.The interview survey shows that,the design idea of the self-regulated learning worksheet for critical reading is feasible.Based on this idea,it is possible to design self-regulated learning worksheet for critical reading with different styles and different scopes of application.The self-regulated learning worksheet can support students to read texts purposefully,and provides students with a reading path from comprehension and analysis to creation and evaluation.Students can read the text more deeply and critically.As an outcome of this research,the self-regulated learning worksheet for critical reading is beneficial to enriching teachers’ reading instruction methods,improving the quality of independent reading and students’ thinking abilities.The design ideas of critical reading autonomous learning worksheet can also be a reference for the similar learning scaffolds. |
