Mathematics application ability is a embodiment of students' comprehensive quality.Cultivating students' mathematics application ability has been paid much attention in mathematics education circles;In addition,the Mathematics Curriculum Standard of General Senior High School(2017 Edition 2020 revision)also makes clear requirements for cultivating students' mathematical modeling literacy related to mathematical application ability.The Beijing High School Mathematics Application Competition is an important measure to cultivate students' mathematics application consciousness and ability,deepen the reform of mathematics teaching and promote the integration of subjects.Its title can be used as a good resource to cultivate students' mathematics application consciousness and ability.However,due to the difficulty of the subject,these resources are not well,and the competition has not played its due role in a wider range.It is of great significance to analyze and study the final questions of Beijing Senior High School Mathematics knowledge Application Competition to give full play to the competition and promote the reform of mathematics teaching.This study analyzes the final questions of the 13th-22 th Beijing High School Mathematics Knowledge Application Competition from five aspects: difficulty,situation,core accomplishment,knowledge range and mathematical model.From the three aspects of "teacher's attitude and understanding to strengthen mathematics knowledge application teaching ","teacher's measures to strengthen mathematics knowledge application teaching" and "teacher's understanding of mathematics knowledge application competition in senior high school ",the teacher carried out.Some of the test questions were adapted by means of "giving hints to the key and unfamiliar words in the questions "," reducing the difficulty of calculation "," changing the background of the test questions "," adding the guide questions" and so on.Through the study of the test questions,the following conclusions are obtained:(1)The factors of reasoning ability and cognitive level are the most important factors that make the final exam difficult;(2)The test situation in the final of the competition is most closely related to personal life;(3)Among the ten sets of test questions,mathematical modeling literacy is the highest,followed by mathematical arithmetic literacy;(4)The scope of knowledge of the examination questions is required in the Curriculum Standard,which involves the most functional parts of the compulsory courses,followed by the contents of the E courses in the elective courses;(5)Among these problems,functional and geometric models are the most needed to solve them.By using the test questions before and after adaptation to test the students and analyze the results,it is found that the measures taken to adapt the test questions do reduce the difficulty of the test questions to varying degrees.In addition,through the investigation of students,it is found that the calculation of the test questions is large,the questions are too long,and the situation is unfamiliar.Through the teacher questionnaire survey,we found that:(1)The concept of teaching guided by the Curriculum Standard has not been fully implemented;(2)Most high school teachers have a positive attitude towards strengthening the teaching and activities of mathematics knowledge application;(3)67.28% of teachers think that it is difficult to strengthen the application teaching of mathematics knowledge,and 69.13% think that it is necessary to introduce more teaching resources outside the teaching materials;(4)Only 21.66% of the teachers know about the Beijing High School Mathematics Knowledge Application Competition.Finally,based on the above research and related conclusions,suggestions are put forward from five aspects : " reform evaluation mechanism "," deepen education and teaching reform ","reform teaching method "," strengthen the discussion of mathematics knowledge application teaching " and " mathematics specialty of normal colleges and universities should attach importance to mathematics modeling course " five aspects.
