This paper mainly takes the foreign works in the Chinese textbooks of junior high school compiled by the Ministry as the research object,analyzes the works,and investigates the teaching status.Finally,based on theoretical knowledge and practical experience,it puts forward the methods to improve the teaching of foreign works.First of all,the article introduces the situation of the selection of foreign works in junior high school Chinese textbooks by introducing the development process.Then it analyzes the general situation of selected foreign works in the junior middle school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry from the aspects of quantity,space and time.Then it analyzes the selection characteristics of foreign works from three angles of exemplary,scientific and speculative.Secondly,the author uses the questionnaire method and the interview method respectively to investigate the students and teachers,to understand the current situation of the teaching of foreign works,to explore the existing problems and analyze the causes of the problems.According to the survey,the main problems in the teaching of foreign works include students' lack of interest in learning,weak literature foundation and lack of initiative.In the end,the paper analyzes the selection of foreign works and the current teaching situation,and puts forward the methods to improve the teaching of foreign works from three aspects: the combination of literature and history,supplementary reading and dialogue exchange.
