A Study Of Video Narrative In "Sports World"

In recent years,"telling a good Chinese story" has become an important strategy for China to shape its national image,improve its cultural soft power and show its cultural confidence.Sports has always been regarded as a world language,and it is also an important window for China to carry out international communication.Sports story is a part of Chinese story,so telling Chinese sports story well is the key proposition of telling Chinese story well.In order to tell Chinese Sports Stories well,the key is to capture the particularity of Chinese sports story samples.CCTV sports channel's "sports world" column has been developed for nearly20 years,with the purpose of disseminating sports culture,displaying sports spirit,recording sports history,and paying attention to civilian sports as its tenet."Sports world" has the characteristics of sample particularity.So the decomposition of the narrative characteristics and development context of the story is an important basis for understanding how to tell Chinese sports stories,and also an important way for Chinese sports discourse and sports culture to spread to the world in the 21 st century.In this paper,the "sports world" as the research object,the use of literature,text analysis,content analysis,select the "sports world" representative samples for research.According to the development process and stage characteristics of sports world,this paper divides it into five stages: the period of establishment and growth(2002-2006),the period of Olympic Service(2007-2008),the period of transformation and exploration(2009-2012),and the period of innovation and promotion(2013-2019),based on the summary of the characteristics of each period,this paper analyzes the narrative content and audio-visual language from two aspects.Through the analysis,it is found that the main path of the story creation and Narrative Evolution of "sports world" is that the narrative content changes from "plain and simple" to "wonderful and diversified",the narrative technique changes from "news documentary" to "story" narrative,and the audio-visual style changes from "traditional and simple" to "elegant and modern".The policy environment,sports concept and social environment are the main factors affecting the creation and spread of the story.The policy environment,sports concept and social environment are the main factors affecting the creation and spread of the story.As an excellent carrier of telling Chinese sports stories,after 20 years of exploration and development,sports world has formed a unique narrative mode and novel discourse expression.Its unique audio-visual language and narrative style enrich the defects of narrative mode and narrative communication of current sports documentaries in China to a certain extent."Sports world" innovates the discourse expression mode of telling Chinese sports stories and spreading Chinese sports voice.The research on the video narration of "sports world" has a certain enlightenment on how to tell Chinese sports stories and spread Chinese sports culture in the current sports documentary creation.
