Mathematics culture has the dual nature of humanity and rational thinking.The integration of mathematics culture into textbooks is reflected in classroom teaching.From a cultural perspective,it is an effective way to implement quality education to guide students to understand mathematics,appreciate mathematics,and recognize the cultural value of mathematics.Therefore,the current situation of mathematics culture teaching is a problem worthy of research and exploration.This research focuses on the teaching status of mathematics culture.The main research questions are:(1)the compilation characteristics of mathematics culture in the junior high school mathematics textbook of the Jiangsu Phoenix Science and Technology Edition;(2)the teaching status of the mathematics culture in the junior high school mathematics textbook of the Jiangsu Phoenix Science and Technology Edition.The main methods used in the research are: literature research method,content analysis method,questionnaire survey method and interview method.Focusing on the two major issues to be discussed in the thesis,firstly,it explores the compilation characteristics of mathematics culture in the 6-volume junior middle school mathematics textbook of the Jiangsu Phoenix Science and Technology Edition from the five dimensions of content type,grade distribution,curriculum distribution,column distribution,and application method.Then conducted investigations and partial interviews with 79 front-line teachers and 233 students in S City,Jiangsu Province,and investigated the teacher's "teaching" in terms of the source of the teacher's mathematical cultural knowledge,the selection bias of mathematical culture,teaching methods,and teaching goals.The status quo and the factors that affect the teaching of mathematics culture;to investigate students' "learning" from the aspects of students' love for mathematics,their attitudes towards the integration of mathematics culture into teaching,the source of knowledge of mathematics culture,the learning methods of mathematics culture,and their favorite teaching methods of mathematics culture.The current situation and the factors that affect students' mathematics and cultural learning.Finally,it elaborates the strategies to promote the integration of mathematics culture into mathematics teaching in the textbooks from the six aspects of mathematics culture in the textbook,teachers' self-improvement strategies,teaching suggestions,student learning suggestions,improvement of the examination evaluation system,and the transformation of the school environment.
