Research On The Impact Of Population Aging On The High-quality Development Of Economic

At this stage,my country’s economy is undergoing a transition from high-speed growth to high-quality development.With the transition of my country’s economy,transforming the development mode,adjusting the industrial structure,and promoting high-quality development of economic have become the focus of my country’s current work.Since the economic reform and open up,my country’s rapid economic growth over the past 40 years has largely benefited from my country’s demographic dividend.However,as people’s income levels continue to increase and medical conditions continue to improve,the phenomenon of low birth rates and low death rates will follow,and the population aging problem will become increasingly serious.Today,when more and more people are elderly,how to make full use of the positive externalities of aging on economic and social development,while weakening its negative effects,amplifying its positive effects,is important for realizing the coordinated development of population,resources and the environment,and the high-quality development of economic and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Based on the current situation of population aging and five new development concepts,this research constructs an indication system for the quality of economic development,and introduces the quality and quantity of human capital as mediating variable.Furthermore,the panel fixed effect model,the mediating effect model and the threshold model are used to analyze the influence mechanism of the population aging on the quality of economic development and its nonlinear characteristics,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the formulation of relevant policies.The research results show that aging will significantly improve the quality of regional economic development.In terms of dimensions,aging has a significant positive impact on the four subsystems of innovation,coordination,openness,and sharing,while the impact on the green subsystem is temporarily insignificant.Based on the analysis of heterogeneity,it is found that the impact of aging on the quality of economic development has different manifestations in different periods,regions and different degrees of aging.After introducing the level of human capital accumulation as a mediating variable,it is found that aging will also indirectly promote the quality of economic development through the mediating effects of human capital quality and quantity.But in terms of the strength of the mediating effect,in the regression of aging to the quality of economic development,the quantitative effect of human capital is greater than the quality effect.Furthermore,using the threshold model research found that the quantity and quality of human capital show different threshold characteristics in the impact of aging on the quality of economic development.Based on this,we should speed up the improvement of human capital accumulation level,continue to promote innovation-driven strategies,further optimize the allocation of medical resources,give full play to the positive externalities of aging on the quality of economic development,and promote high-quality development of economic.
