Reading is the core of Chinese learning and the basis for other learning activities.From ancient times to the present,with its unique charm,it has created a spiritual home for generations after generations.People obtain information through reading and read everything in the world.With the in-depth development of economic globalization,international competition is no longer limited to military,economic and other fields.Developed and developing countries have gradually shifted their vision of competition to the fields of culture and education.Reading literacy has become an international competition.An identification.The reading teaching and learning in the new round of Chinese curriculum reform is not limited to reading knowledge and ability,but emphasizes the "reading literacy" under the big reading view,including the accumulated use,feeling,understanding,evaluation,appreciation,and creation of language and writing Wait.It can be seen that reading literacy of students is one of the necessary literacy required for the development of modern students.There have been many international evaluation projects to investigate and evaluate students' reading literacy,such as PIRLS,etc.,to improve reading teaching and promote children's reading.The development of literacy.Therefore,it is very important to investigate the reading literacy of primary school students in our country.It can not only clarify the reality of the reading literacy of primary school students in our country,but also help promote the improvement of students' reading literacy.This research is based on the PIRLS reading literacy assessment project,draws on the PIRLS reading literacy framework,and compares and integrates with my country's "Compulsory Education Chinese Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)" to build a local reading literacy assessment framework.The PIRLS test sample questions and student questionnaires are localized,and the reliability and validity of the research tools are verified through pre-tests,so as to enter the formal investigation stage.Use the test method and questionnaire method to evaluate the reading literacy of the fourth grade students in 9 classes of 3 primary schools in Changchun City.Through data analysis,the current reading literacy status of the tested objects are obtained,and the problems existing in the reading literacy are found,and combined with the 3 Interviews with 6Chinese teachers in the school to analyze the causes of the problems.Based on the overall survey results,targeted strategies and suggestions for improving the reading literacy of primary school students are put forward.Through the above research and exploration,this study draws the following two research conclusions from the status quo of reading literacy and the analysis of the causes of the problem: the reading literacy of the fourth grade primary school students is at an intermediate level as a whole;the reasons for the formation of reading literacy problems are diversified.The specific performance of the intermediate level is: in the process of comprehension,the basic ability is better than the advanced ability;the reading performance of different text types is out of balance,that is,the performance of students in narrative texts is significantly better than that of explanatory texts;reading purposes are diversified,Affected by test-taking factors;students have a positive reading attitude,and their reading behavior is affected by class.The specific manifestations of the diversification of the causes of the problem are as follows:teachers' reading teaching is generally conservative and needs to be updated;there are misunderstandings in the family education method,which need to be corrected.
