The mathematical ability described by former Soviet psychologist Krutetskii is a unique psychological characteristic of human beings.It enables people to master mathematical knowledge,skills and habits relatively quickly,easily and thoroughly.Mathematical operation,as one of the core qualities of mathematics,can not only ensure the correctness of the operation results in solving mathematical problems,and improve the mathematical performance,but also develop students’mathematical abstraction,logical reasoning,form the quality of standardized thinking,and cultivate the scientific spirit of seeking perfection,truth and pragmatism[1].The author has read the"ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standard(2017Edition)"to understand the relevant description and requirements of high school students’mathematical ability and mathematical operation ability.At the same time,by studying the relevant literature at home and abroad,it is found that primary and secondary education in various countries is strengthening the cultivation of mathematical operation ability.The Ministry of Education of our country has also made several large-scale adjustments to the syllabus.Instead of“cultivating”students’mathematical operation ability,the syllabus changes it into mathematical operation ability that students should“have”.In the college entrance examination,mathematical operation ability is also the key content of the examination,which shows that our country puts forward higher requirements for the mathematical operation ability.This paper investigates the current situation of high school students’mathematical operation in the form of questionnaire survey and mathematical test,finding four factors that affect students’mathematical operation ability,namely,the influence of non-intelligence factors;the lack of systematic mathematical knowledge;the fuzzy memory of concepts and rules;the influence of mathematical thinking.On this basis,this paper puts forward the following strategies to improve senior high school students’mathematical operation ability:(1)attaching importance to the cultivation of students’non-intelligence factors;(2)attaching importance to the improvement of knowledge system;(3)attaching importance to the practice of typical examples;(4)attaching importance to the cultivation of mathematical thinking.It provides some reference for teachers to solve the problem of students’poor mathematical operation ability in teaching.Based on Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences,Flavell’s metacognitive theory and Bruner’s cognitive learning theory,combined with the author’s teaching practice and research,this paper puts forward some operable suggestions to improve students’mathematical operation ability,so as to provide new ideas for front-line teachers to instruct students’mathematical operation ability in teaching design and provide an effective way for students to improve their operation ability.At the same time,the practical cases and research conclusions of this paper also provide effective materials for modern mathematics education and teaching theory.
