In recent years,children's books occupy the largest proportion in China's picture book market,and the proportion of picture books in children's market is also rising.As a typical representative of picture books,picture books quietly enter many families,even into the campus,and are popular with students.The unique value of picture book teaching is being explored in many developed areas.But for the lower grade students,due to physical and psychological constraints,picture book reading ability still needs to be improved.Especially in some rural primary schools,the popularity of parent-child reading is not enough,the main position of students' reading interest and ability training is still in the school,so the picture book reading teaching of front-line teachers is particularly important.How to do a good job in picture book reading teaching and help children enjoy reading better is the purpose of this paper.This article attempts to use picture books as a bridge and combined with the departmental compilation of teaching materials.By analyzing the actual development of the current Chinese picture book reading teaching in the lower grades of elementary school,it proposes specific optimization methods and establishes a correct view of picture book reading.There are four parts in this paper.In the introduction part,the research background,research purpose,significance,main concepts,literature review,related concepts and theoretical basis of this topic are sorted out.The first part is a survey of the current situation of picture book reading teaching in primary school.It presents the current situation of picture book reading teaching in primary school through interviews,analysis of classroom records and collection of relevant information.The second part analyzes the problems existing in the current picture book reading teaching from four aspects: Teachers' lack of understanding of picture book reading teaching,teachers' lack of systematic picture book reading teaching strategies,picture book reading teaching has not formed a standardized system,and parents' low degree of cooperation with picture book reading teaching.The third part puts forward the corresponding operational picture book reading teaching suggestions.In the process of research,it is not difficult to find that the application of picture books in elementary school Chinese classes is not very popular,most of the front-line teachers have insufficient understanding of picture book,and their teaching enthusiasm is limited.Although most schools and teachers have consciously carried out picture book teaching,most of them are not systematic,mainly short cycle open class or school-based curriculum,and the value of picture book teaching still needs to be explored.At present,with the extensive use of unified textbooks,the relationship between picture books and textbooks is closer.To a certain extent,this study also points out the direction for teachers to integrate picture books and textbooks and effectively carry out picture book reading teaching.
