Discipline is a means of education, and the right to punish is the power given by the teacher's profession. How teachers, especially elementary school teachers, exercise the right to punish has always been a hot issue in society. In the context of national population policies and economic and social development, appreciation education has been unanimously loved by teachers and students and parents in a more gentle way.More and more parents have begun to oppose disciplinary education, which has brought about Some negative effects.Facing the students' violation of discipline, teachers are afraid to control them on the one hand, and they do not want to control them on the other. As a result, students' wrong behaviors cannot be corrected in a timely manner, and even illegal behaviors of laissez-faire students have led to an increasingly tense teacher-student relationship and more and more problematic students.Primary school students are relatively weak in perception and judgment, and are in a critical period of physical and mental development. They are still immature and need teachers to guide and educate them.Students violate discipline and rules.Teachers exercise their right to discipline scientifically and reasonably and correct students' wrongdoings. It is very necessary to help students establish a sense of norms. Therefore,it is of great practical significance to regulate the punishment power of primary school teachers. In this study, teachers from three primary schools in A County were investigated, and the current situation of the use of primary school teachers 'disciplinary power was understood from four aspects: primary school teachers' disciplinary ideas, manifestations, reasons, basis, and effects. The survey results show that the current problems in the exercise of correctional power of primary school teachers include the deviation of cognition of correctional power, excessively arbitrary punishment concepts, lack of scientific basis for the exercise of correctional power, misplaced subjects of exercise of correctional power, inadequate theories of correctional education, and country-related The system is incomplete, the management skills of teachers need to be improved, and the rights and interests of teachers are not guaranteed.Based on the above issues, the author proposes countermeasures at the school level, teacher level, and national policy level, with a view to benefiting the rational use of disciplinary power by elementary school teachers.
