Educational punishment can be defined as when students there have been gone against the rules, teachers would exert some influence in the legal range for these offenders, so that offenders correct their mistakes and improve their moral. This research aims to present the situation how do teachers use educational punishment in primary school. This research mainly used methods such as questionnaires, interviews, observation, ect. It is found that in primary school there are some problems both in ideas, attitudes, behaviors when teachers use educational punishment. And further analysis have found that:teachers understand the meaning of educational punishment is not entirely correct; teachers’ lack of effective punishment techniques; teachers and students have different attitude on educational punishment; the primary school is lack of supervision and management to teachers. Research suggests that to solve the problems could do something as follows:First, to clearly define the circumscription that in which situation teachers can use educational punishment; Secondly, Need do some strategies to improve the effectiveness of teachers in the use of educational punishment; Finally, we should recognize the limitations of educational punishment, and find alternative educational methods of punishment.
