The high school geography curriculum is a discipline that combines both natural sciences and social sciences.It has a strong comprehensive and abstract nature,which puts certain requirements on students' learning ability and learning methods.Some students have some difficulties in learning because they cannot adapt to geographical characteristics.The geography curriculum standard requires students to develop essential geographical core literacy.However,the cultivation of literacy is based on certain geographical knowledge.For students with relatively weak knowledge base,helping them overcome learning difficulties is not only conducive to students' continued learning,but also lays a solid knowledge foundation for the cultivation of geographical core literacy.Based on combing literature of students with learning difficulties,the thesis analyzes and summarizes the concepts of geography students and geography learning ability and the components of geography learning ability.By taking questionnaires and interviews on students and teachers of a high school in Huai'an,Jiangsu Province,the thesis has a research on the status quo of teachers' attention to geography students and the status of geography learning ability of students with learning difficulties.Besides,the thesis analyzes the level of geography learning ability of students with learning difficulties and proposes a transformation strategy for them.The study found that the geography learning ability of geography students is generally low,uneven development among capacity elements,such as the comprehensive analysis ability of geographical features,the description and simple prediction ability of geographic process,the analysis of geographic causality and the ability of reasoning.The development is uneven and the learning methods are outstanding.The reasons for the low level of geography learning ability and the improper learning method include both their own reasons and a certain relationship with the geography teacher teaching method.On the basis of analyzing the causes of students' learning difficulties,with the improvement of the geography learning ability of students with learning difficulties,the paper proposes a “transformation foundation—church learning—improving ability-tracking guidance” four-dimensional linkage geography students' transformation mode: utilization The guiding case is to strengthen the foundation of students with difficulties,strengthen the guidance of learning methods,teach the students with learning difficulties,comprehensively apply a variety of teaching methods,improve the geography learning ability of students with learning difficulties,use real-time monitoring of growth files,and track the learning process of students with learning difficulties.Guide,in the four-dimensional linkage learning mode of student transformation,multi-angle,all-round will be a good job of geography students.
