The state proposed the latest education direction "the fundamental task of education is to cultivate people by virtue".In order to implement this task,the Ministry of Education put forward the concept of "core literacy",in which the requirements of "social responsibility" core literacy have become more specific.With the modernization of science education,STSE education concept emerged at the historic moment and has rich connotation of the times.The requirements of the core literacy of "social responsibility" are highly consistent with the connotation of STSE's education philosophy.Therefore,using STSE education concept to create a teaching situation can effectively achieve the goal of cultivating the core literacy of "social responsibility".Therefore,this research is to design the teaching process under the guidance of STSE education concept and cultivate the core literacy of "social responsibility" in teaching practice,hoping to provide some feasible approaches and inspirations for front-line biology teachers to use STSE education concept to cultivate the "social responsibility" literacy of biology in middle schools.Firstly,through literature research and literature review,this paper understood the domestic research status and research results of the cultivation of high school biology "social responsibility" literacy under the STSE education concept.Then,questionnaires were sent to the students of Fuyang No.3 Middle School and the teachers were interviewed.The result showed that teachers and students did not have a deep understanding of the survey content and did not pay much attention to the cultivation of students' core literacy of "social responsibility" in teaching.On this basis,the content related to STSE education concept in the compulsory textbook of high school biology is sorted out,and part of the textbook content is selected to carry out teaching design under the guidance of STSE education concept,and highlight the cultivation of "social responsibility" core literacy in the teaching objectives,and finally carry out teaching practice and test the teaching effect.Research results :(1)STSE education concept is effective in cultivating high school biology "social responsibility" literacy,most students reach the second level of performance(identification and judgment).(2)Biology teaching design under the guidance of STSE education concept can promote students' ability to pay attention to and understand biological events.(3)Biology teaching design under the guidance of STSE education concept can enhance students' ability to identify and judge biological information.(4)Biology teaching design under the guidance of STSE education concept can enhance students' consciousness and responsibility ability.(5)Biology teaching design under STSE education concept can enhance students' practical ability.
