Electrochemistry knowledge is one of the key points of high school chemistry teaching,and it is the content of the college entrance examination.Some students with relatively weak chemistry foundations have difficulty understanding the principle of galvanic batteries when studying chemical energy and electric energy,which has become a major difficulty.After that,it is even more difficult to learn the basics of electrochemistry.Based on this phenomenon,the author conducted a test of electrochemical knowledge for senior third-year students and found that the most common problem is the writing of electrode equations.However,many questions are derived from electrode equations.In response to this,the author conducted student interviews and summarized the specific difficulties of the students in this aspect of learning,which is mainly reflected in the difficulty of balancing.Normally,in the teaching,the balance is just based on the reaction conditions and the law of conservation of charge and conservation of mass,without explaining the reason.When writing unfamiliar reaction equations,many students will not be able to write.In order to improve the teaching effect,the author explored in the teaching practice a way to substitute the oxygen ion and water reaction equation into the electrode reaction equation of the galvanic battery to write,and use oxygen ions to build a bridge between the reactant and the product for students.Under the guidance of this approach,the electrochemical teaching design was optimized,and a comparative experiment was conducted in two parallel classes.It was found that the class that uses oxygen ions as a bridge to write the electrode reaction equation has a higher rate of problem solving,and students can write more accurately.The reaction equations of each electrode also have a certain enlightenment for the study of the electrolytic cell.Through knowledge testing and student interviews,this article summarizes the difficulties of electrochemistry teaching in high schools,and explores new methods of electrode reaction equation writing teaching and the new application of oxygen ions in middle school electrochemistry teaching in teaching practice,and is based on real chemistry.In the classroom,combined with the practice of high school chemistry teaching,the teaching plans for the first three sections of the chapter on electrochemistry foundation were designed,and the relevant college entrance examination questions were analyzed in depth,which has a certain reference value for the teaching and learning of electrochemistry in high school.
