| The strategy of revitalizing rural areas cannot be implemented without revitalizing rural education,and the revitalization of rural education cannot be realized without excellent rural teachers.At present,the educational level of young teachers in rural primary schools is generally improved.They are energetic,positive,have a strong sense of self-improvement,and have great potential for development,which is the hope of rural education.This study takes young teachers in rural primary schools in Chongqing as the research object,investigates the problems existing in the career of young teachers in rural primary schools,and puts forward corresponding strategies to promote the career development of young teachers in rural primary schools.The investigation aims at the current situation of 350 rural primary school teachers’ career in Chongqing.Besides,327 effectively-received questionnaires were analyzed for in-depth data.Through field interviews with 10 young teachers in rural primary schools,their current situation and demands of career development were recorded and analyzed.Based on above research,this paper summarizes the main common problems in the process of teachers’ career development,analyzes the causes,and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.According to the survey results,the professional quality,professional needs and professional development level of young teachers in rural primary schools in Chongqing are higher than the theoretical median,among which the average score in the dimension of professional needs is the highest.Therefore,the factors of professional needs have a greater impact on the career development of young teachers.The mean values of career stress and career planning dimensions are lower than the theoretical median,which indicates that young teachers need to improve these two parts in their career life.Besides,they generally have the needs of career development.Combined with the significant difference factors between each dimension and interview data,the following problems are discovered: the professional quality and career planning of young teachers aged from 25 to 30 in rural primary schools are lower than those of young teachers in other age groups;teachers’ educational background does not play a significant role in the career development of young teachers in rural primary schools;professional titles have a significant impact on the professional development of young teachers in rural primary schools.The results show that the versions have a great impact in the career development of young teachers in rural primary schools.The situation of young teachers in charge of classes have a great impact in the career development of young teachers in rural primary schools.Young teachers in rural primary schools have a vague understanding of career development;what’s worse,the society lacks understanding and respect for the work of primary school teachers.Therefore,this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures from government,school and individual teachers to promote the career development of young teachers in rural primary schools.The government should advocate the value orientation of respecting teachers and valuing principles,and create a good social environment;reforming the teacher evaluation mechanism,turning the professional pressure of young teachers in rural primary schools into professional motivation.The management ability of rural primary school cadres are supposed to strengthened.Rural primary schools should improve their care for young teachers,build a good development environment,meet the professional needs of young teachers in rural primary schools,attach importance to the cultivation of young teachers,improve the awareness of career planning of young rural primary school teachers and help them to carry out career planning and implementation.For teachers,they need to establish lofty educational ideals,explore "local" education and realize their career development according to local conditions so that they will be able to make reasonable plans for future career development independently and gain their personal growth goals. |
