"The Whole Book Reading" is one of the most important forms of reading in Chinese curricula and it is a reading standard approved in "Chinese Curricula Standards for Compulsory Education"(edited in 2011).In our country,"the Whole Book Reading" as a tradition has been around for a long time;with the deepening reform on Chinese curricula,"the Whole Book Reading" has become a research hotspot of Chinese teaching.However,due to the characteristics of the whole book itself and the limitations in the teaching implementation of it,teachers are short of systematic and feasible guidance in carrying out the whole book reading teaching.Meanwhile because of the environmental impact from the information age and the need in the physical and mental development of middle school students,it is of great necessity and urgency to cultivate students to establish the view of love based on independent personality in middle school.In view of this,this thesis conducts a research on the whole book reading teaching to develop students' healthy view of love,which is exemplified by Jane Eyre,a book in the lists of required readings for students at the second volume of the ninth grade.This thesis includes three parts: introduction,body,and conclusion.Among them,the introduction mainly presents the basic information of this thesis from the aspects of research reasons,literature review,research object,research idea and methods,concept definition,book version selection,etc.The body contains three chapters.The first chapter mainly sets up the targets of the whole book reading of Jane Eyre.According to the necessity of middle school students' physical & mental growth and personal development,established in the current reading level of middle school students and centered on the view of love based on independent personality in Jane Eyre,it sets up the primary and secondary targets of the whole book reading,that is,to cultivate students' healthy view of love and teaching them the specific methods of the whole book reading,which focus on the guidance of the students' view of love and return to the Chinese itself and take into account the humanistic and instrumental aspects.The second chapter presents the implementation process of the whole book reading.Based on the role of reading guidance,being students-centered and task-driven and carrying out reading activities,the methods of the whole book reading teaching on Jane Eyre are elaborated in detail,and a series of activities in keeping with the whole book reading of Jane Eyre are set up around the primary and secondary targets.These activities include intensive reading,questions & doubt,comparative reading and theme inquiry,which facilitates students get subtle enlightenment about the view of love in the process of active thinking by using Chinese elements and positive participation.The third chapter exhibits the evaluation on the whole book reading of Jane Eyre.Centered on the primary target to cultivate students' healthy view of love and the second target to teach them the specific methods of the whole book reading,it sets up testing and evaluation scheme for the reading effect of Jane Eyre from the principles of evaluation and also the types of that.The conclusion presents the research results and limits of this thesis as well as proposes the research prospects.
