The Application Of Game Teaching Method In Chinese Class Of The Philippine Middle School

Chinese-teaching in the Philippines is gradually extended from only Chinese schools to other mainstream schools of the whole society.The author,as a Chinese volunteer teacher of the Chinese Confucius Institute,has been sent to Bethel International School in Tacloban City,Philippines.In the course of teaching Chinese,the author has found many problems,so she tries to use the game teaching method in Chinese class.This paper aims at exploring and studying the game teaching method of Chinese-teaching.With Bethel International School as an example.Based on the author's practical experience and the understanding of the Chinese teaching in the Philippines,with the addition of the students' questionnaires,this paper discusses the game teaching method of Chinese-teaching from four aspects.First,it discusses the basic situation of Bethel International School's Chinese teaching and the necessity of using game teaching method in Chinese class.Second,combining the teaching experience in Chinese class,it makes a specific case design and analysis of game teaching method in Chinese class.Furthermore,according to the teaching practice,it analyzes and discusses the shortcomings of the game teaching method in Chinese class.Besides,it puts forward some suggestions on the practice of game teaching method in Chinese class.Through the research and discussion on the game teaching method in Chinese class,this paper comes to the conclusion that it is necessary and practical to apply game teaching method in the Philippines,though there are many relative problems,game teaching method is still the important and practical way of teaching Chinese.What's more,it is still necessary for Chinese teachers to take more efforts to improve the game teaching method of Chinese class.
