Accompanied by the further development of education reform,the educational concepts and forms of Chinese subject are changing fast.The trend of new curriculum reform is to cultivate students' ability of autonomy,cooperation and inquiry.For this reason,the theory of dialogue teaching has entered the vision of teachers and scholars,and its application in Chinese teaching has attracted more and more attention.Novel teaching is an indispensable part of reading courses,and it not only cultivates the basic skills of reading,writing,listening and speaking,but also develops the ability of dialectical thinking and aesthetic appreciation.However,the current novel teaching has not yet got rid of traditional teaching.Dialogue teaching has become the preferred teaching method to get rid of the embarrassing situation of novel teaching.The basic language skill is a kind of dialogue ability which is a practical activity for students to understand the story,listen carefully and express themselves during the course of learning.Therefore,the application of dialogue teaching method to novel teaching is a new experiment and an inevitable choice to adapt to the development of the curriculum.And dialogue is beneficial to the development of students' abilities,such as cultivating comprehensive,basic Chinese literacy,independent thinking,personalized reading and knowledge building.Furthermore,it is helpful to make novel teaching get out of the predicament of rigid form.This research discusses the feasibility and significance of the application of dialogue teaching method on the basis of theory research.It not only conforms to the requirements of innovating teaching methods and advocating independent learning,but also conforms to the properties about language and literature,and the requirement of cultivating abilities.More importantly,it can highlight the features of novel,such as narration,fiction and openness.Through questionnaire survey and interviews,this thesis investigates the actuality of novel teaching and the application status of dialogue teaching method in C Middle School in Chengdu.These strategies are proposed from three aspects of teachers,students and texts as well as three dimensions of guided reading,deep reading and reflection.The purpose is to improve the efficiency of novel teaching and update teaching methods.Finally,this thesis reflects on the application with specific teaching cases and designs which aims to help teachers innovate the teaching methods of novels.
