With the deepening of the eighth basic education reform in our country,the reform of teaching textbooks has become a topic of close attention of scholars in the field of education in recent years.Under the guidance of the new curriculum standard of high school textbooks issued in 2017,the new teaching textbooks of People’s Education A version(hereinafter referred to as the "new materials")were published and put into use in 2019.Because the new teaching textbooks are put into use for a short time,the implementation effect of the teaching textbooks has yet to be tested.Therefore,it is very necessary to understand the current teachers’ and students’ satisfaction with the new teaching textbooks and their use,to further enhance the use effect of the new teaching textbooks,and to provide some references for teachers and students to use the new teaching textbooks.In this paper,literature research method is used to analyze the literature on the use of teaching textbooks,to provide some theoretical guidance for this study;the questionnaire was used to survey the students and teachers who used the new textbooks in four high schools in Yantai city,to investigate the students’ satisfaction with the new textbooks and the use of the textbooks,to investigate the teachers’ understanding of the new curriculum standards,the satisfaction with the new textbooks and the use of the textbooks.Using SPSS software to analyze the collected data,the following conclusions are obtained:(1)Students: Students’ overall satisfaction with the new textbooks is relatively high,but their satisfaction with the thickness of the new textbooks is relatively low;students use the new textbooks at a higher rate,but they rely more on tutoring materials while using the textbooks;most students think that teachers’ teaching progress is fast and the teacher’s use rate of some columns in the new textbook is not high.(2)Teachers: Teachers have a high degree of understanding and use of the new curriculum standards;The overall satisfaction of teachers to the new textbook is high,but the satisfaction to the thickness of the new textbook and the setting of part of the content is low.The utilization rate of the new textbooks is high,but the utilization rate of some columns in the new textbooks is not high.Most teachers report that the teaching task is too much and the workload is increased after the use of the new textbooks.Based on the survey results,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)Students’ use: strengthen the frequency of students’ use of new textbooks during review,and control the use of teaching materials;(2)Teachers’ use: appropriately slow down the teaching progress,strengthen the use of comprehensive columns,and appropriately adjust the order of teaching content;(3)Textbook compilation: adjust the thickness of the required textbooks appropriately,and slightly adjust some exercises;(4)Relevant departments of the school: strengthen the training of new curriculum standards and new textbooks for teachers.
