Reading is one of the important ways to embody teachers' professional work and promote teachers' professional development.Teachers should take reading as a necessary prerequisite for their own professional development.Based on the investigation and study of t schools in Jimo District,Qingdao City,this paper discusses the problems and causes of primary school Chinese teachers' reading,and analyzes the influence of teacher reading on the professional development of primary school Chinese teachers.And put forward the reading improvement strategy to promote the professional development of primary school Chinese teachers.The survey found that reading has an important impact on the professional development of Chinese teachers,especially excellent Chinese teachers.Reading can improve the professional quality of primary school Chinese teachers at different stages of development,cultivate the humanistic spirit of teachers,enhance the language charm of the classroom,and enhance the ability of primary school Chinese teachers to conduct education and practice reflection.However,there are also many problems in Chinese teachers reading,such as teacher reading is basically in a spontaneous state,and lack of time,poor habits,utilitarian purpose,a single type.The main causes of these problems are the heavy burden of teachers,weak lifelong learning atmosphere,not strong sense of professional development,inadequate school reading support,etc.In view of the above problems and causes,this paper proposes the following improvement measures: education administrative departments and schools can establish a public welfare mobile reading platform,innovate teachers' reading methods;optimize teachers' reading places,reduce teachers' work burden;organize expert reading guidance,and carry out various reading activities.Teachers should improve the awareness of professional development,correctly understand the professionalism of teachers' profession;pay attention to accurate learning,strengthen the reading of key reading materials,formulate a reading plan,reasonably arrange the reading time;adhere to the combination of reading and reflection,strengthen teaching reflection and educational research.
