The report of the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC)shows that the overall strategy of governing the country according to the law should be carried out in depth to popularize the law and raise citizens’ consciousness of the rule of law.To realize the goal of building a socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics and building a socialist country ruled by law,the cultivation of teenagers’ consciousness of the rule of law is particularly important.Therefore,to promote the process of national rule of law,we must strengthen the education of the rule of law for young people,take Xi Jinping’s thought of the rule of law as the guide,thoroughly study,propagate and implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee and the CPC Central Committee.Under this background,in 2017,the Ministry of Education formulated a new ideological and political curriculum standard for General Senior High Schools,and proposed to cultivate the consciousness of the rule of law as one of the core qualities of the subject.Based on the policy documents related to the rule of law education,the 2017 edition of the General Senior High School Ideological and Political Curriculum Standard(2020revised edition)and the 2019 new edition of Senior High School politics teaching materials,this paper studies and collates a large number of relevant documents on the rule of law education and consciousness training of the rule of law.In the preface,the author introduces the research purpose and significance of the rule of law education,combs the documents on laws at home and abroad,and expounds the research ideas,methods,innovation and shortcomings.In the main part,the author mainly discusses it through four chapters: The first part: The connotation of the core accomplishment,the connotation of the core accomplishment of the ideological and political discipline in Senior High School,the connotation of the core accomplishment of the consciousness of the rule of law,which is mainly manifested in four aspects:Cultivating the consciousness of rule of law is the requirement of building a socialist country ruled by law in the new era and the practical need of building a campus ruled by law.The second part: Analyze the current situation of high school students’ awareness of the rule of law,through interviews with students and first-line teachers from different angles of them and other aspects of the problem and analyze the reasons;The third part:Analyze the reasons on the basis of the previous problems: students’ lack of subjectivity under the academic pressure;teachers’ need to improve own quality under the new curriculum reform;and the influence from the educational examination system and evaluation system.The fourth part: Clarify the strategies of the high school ideological and political lesson rule of law consciousness core literacy training,according to the previous problems and reasons and from different angles: students should correct learning attitude,increase knowledge reserve;teachers should renew their teaching ideas and develop their core qualities;school system should adjust the evaluation index and explore multiple methods.
