| Today,we emphasize the construction of "Four qualification" good teachers,strengthen teachers’ professional theoretical knowledge and ability,at the same time,understand the good teachers in the eyes of students,grasp the students’ needs for teachers is the perspective that teachers can`t be ignored.According to the existing research literature on good teachers,there is a lack of research on good teachers from the perspective of primary school students.Based on the existing research,this paper studies the characteristics of good teachers from the perspective of primary school students.And the characteristics of good teachers in the eyes of primary school students are compared with researchers` view,so that we have a more diversified perspective and scientific understanding of good teachers.This study uses the interview method to study 42 students in the lower,middle and higher grades of Urumqi x primary school;and uses the text analysis method to analyze 71 compositions of primary school students,and outlines the portrait of good teachers in the eyes of primary school students.The study found that good teachers in the eyes of primary school students have distinctive characteristics in terms of external image,personality characteristics,teacher-student relationship,student-centered,educational punishment,words and deeds,fairness and justice,basic teaching skills,teaching design,teaching methods and so on.That is,most students hope that teachers have good-looking appearance,dignified,fashionable,decent dress,gentle and pleasant voice;amiable,approachable,good temper;establish a harmonious relationship between teachers and students,student-centered,respect students,calmly deal with the problems in education management;do what you say,set an example,be fair and just,be a teacher;have a strong sense of responsibility Solid basic knowledge and professional basic skills,punctual and trustworthy,less procrastination,less homework;students also hope that the teacher lectures attractive,guide students to think actively,stimulate students’ interest in learning.Through coding and classification,these specific characteristics can be summarized into four dimensions: teacher image,management style,professional ethics and professional ability.Compared with the researcher’s perspective,we find some differences: primary school students care more about the external characteristics of teachers,their attitude towards students,and their requirements for teachers’ professional ability tend to be superficial.Researchers are more concerned about teachers’ internal cultivation,the effect of education and teaching behavior and teachers’ professional theory and standards.To be a good teacher is not only to follow and meet the requirements of national policies,but also to have a reasonable understanding perspective of primary school students: shaping the image of both internal and external teachers,creating a student-centered student management environment,strengthening teachers’ role as role models,improving teachers’ professional ability and creating interesting classroom teaching. |
