The idea of function plays an important role in the process of cultivating students creative thinking and problem-solving ability.quadratic function plays an important role in mathematics education and is the basis of function.This paper mainly investigates the difficulties of the students in the first class in learning quadratic function,analyzes the causes of the problems based on the results of the investigation,and tries to find out the solutions to the difficulties and feasible coping strategies.By means of questionnaires and test papers,371 students in the junior class in Ke shi city were investigated,and the relevant data were analyzed by Excel,it is concluded that the difficulties in learning quadratic function of the students in the first class are: The students can not understand the concept of quadratic function deeply and abstractly;the students can not understand the images and properties deeply enough,most of the students in the first class do not fully understand the nature of the image and the nature of the understanding of the nature of the large deviation,comprehensive application is not flexible or choose more complex solution.The causes of students difficulty in learning quadratic function can be attributed to students main factors,teachers,teaching materials and other factors(including family,school,etc.).In view of these reasons,the following countermeasures are proposed:(1)to highlight the formation process and the practicability of the quadratic function concept in teaching,and to strengthen the essence of the concept;(2)to improve students drawing ability in the teaching of images and properties,and in the process of experiencing the production of properties,to help students understand;(3)using typical examples in the teaching of solving the function expression,strengthening the analytic expression,consolidating the foundation and improving the calculation ability;(4)comprehensive application of the idea of perception function in teaching,building model consciousness,paying attention to the induction and arrangement of common problem solving models,and cultivating students mathematical modeling consciousness purposefully.
